is it weird that http://newgrounds.com/portal/view/321748 has a higher score than 4th and 5th place but didnt get an award?

That's happened to me too - if you submit it too late it doesn't go into the awards for that day, because you might've noticed how the votes tend to drop once they're out of judgement and things - you get more of a 'true score' if you leave it for a while. It'll be in the awards tomorrow if it kicked enough bottom - good luck!

Yeah, if it's posted past 9:00 EST, it counts for the next day's awards. Even though your name may appear on the list of other popular submissions that day, you'll still be part of the next award day. So, don't feel ripped off. Just wait until tomorrow and see if you've won for your flash.
