Wait, according to your diagram there'd have to be a bush in the office, Stamper would shoot through the wide screen tv, completely demolishing it, the thief would be white and fall back into a smaller person who has wet themselves and the surrounding floor. All while over-sized teabags litter the floor. wtf?
px hulk.

none of the people telling me to shutup & whatnot know what they're talking about. trust me 'cause i do
A weapon of that size and caliber is to large to get down and utilize in a situation like the one your thinking of. In the the time it would take to aim the thing correctly he could just as easily be shot DEAD or attacked by someone breaking into the building.
This is why we have handguns for personal protection, and rifles for hunting.

It really would have been amusing to see Funk walk in on the guy. :)

Which one is bigger and which one is smaller?

Lmao, that's actually kind of funny, the guy was just like "yo sup nmunm".
But yeah, i'd be a little agitated as well, so I can understand the reasoning behind camera installation. You should also stick a couple dummy cameras around to throw them off their guard. You know, the ones that have the blinking red light and move side to side but don't actually capture anything. It's good they didn't steal that Colossus of a television you guys have. Do you also have like 5 plasma screen TVs in there too? :P
In other news, did you hear the Wii's devkit is only $2000, Tom? I know you guys have the PS2 and GameCube dev kits, so I was wondering if you're gonna jump in on the Wii devkit. I would say go in on the PS3 devkit also, but judging by how much it already costs, I wouldn't be surprised if you ended up having to drop like 10 g's on that.

The more suspicious you act when doing something like that, the more people will notice. My father used to do repos for a bank, and he would just walk up to someone's door and drill out the lock then break it with a screwdriver, and nobody would notice. But if he were huddling in a corner acting inconspicuous he would have been arrested. It's as simple as making people think you're supposed to be doing whatever it is you're doing.
It sucks that you lost your ps2, but it's better than losing your life over a ps2.

Tom, NEVER EVER let a building contracter into your office without hiding all your important stuff. One of my friends learnt this the hard way when his house was broken into ( he had just built the house ).

I have a good question. Why the hell would someone put a large 62" TV in their office?

Because they're a game production company, and it's a good idea to have high-end equipment to test your shit on, to make sure there's no minor graphical glitches that might not be apparent on lower-end equipment?
Also because it's sweet?

Wow, that sucks. The guy's got balls, you have to admit. I just hope it wasn't anyone who's ever visited NG... that would be awful. Hopefully he'll be found, but as you said at least minimal damage was done. PS2s aren't too expensive anymore and you can always replace the controllers and the anniversary disc for some cash. It wasn't like anyone got hurt.
But being robbed always leaves you with a sense of vulnerability. I remember when my car got broken into... nothing was taken, but coming to my car the next morning and seeing the window smashed left me pretty jumpy for a few days. I hope that security system is installed soon. Those cameras would have been a big help to ID the thief.
Count the bodies like sheep to the rhythm of the war drum...

When you're testing your latest console game, you want to see every pixel.. Not to mention IT KICKS ASS.
In retrospect, I like to imagine stepping into the doorway with a crowbar and boldly announcing, "Crime is a shit that needs to be whiped!", but I would have probably gotten shot as a result.

Although, in theory, it would be funnier to take the guy's wallet and throw him out of the building.
