Hmm very strange i hope the police bust his ass. The guy sounds like a homeless crack addict. I can just imagine him walking out with the PS2. Someone should get a picture of a homeless guy and photoshop him with a PS2.
But it was all right, everything was all right, the struggle was finished. He had won the victory over himself. He loved Big Brother.

I hope they catch the guy... Can you claim on insurance or are you exempt from that because of the door being open?
The insurance has a deductable and reporting it would raise our rates anyway, so it's not worth it.

Damn, losing the PS2, and all of the anniversary stuff sucks, but you should be happy that you're all safe and sound. Next time, just be sure to lock the doors and windows in and out, and have someone (with a key) check the people that come in to deliver stuff.

Ah jeez Tom, my most sincere apologies man. I know where your coming from, my family was robbed back when I was younger, thankfully the guy wasn’t still there and we didn’t loose much, but still it’s mentally devastating. Just remember, you have the entire NG community backing you up (half of the earth’s young adults).. So odds have it if he’s not caught he’ll run into one of us and wind up with that ps2 where the sun don’t shine!
Perhaps it’s time to invest in a fully auto meteoric pico bot to greet guests and brutally murder the unwelcome? That or buy stamper a gun.. errmm perhaps not he’d probably wind up shooting him self… Whatever the case, were all glad you guys are ok, Best wishes on catching that dirt bag.

This is not just some mere robbery this is something more. So powerful its complexicity will melt anyones soul who cannot handle its meaning. Flashback: a few weeks ago, the thread of the HQ having a mod meet. This was just a simple mod party with people having a good time. The ps2 was running warm as the system stayed bright. This man stamper saw indeed may have just been a simple hoodlum looking for some quick cash, but look beyond the theft. Stamper saw the man and thought he was just a friend of Tom's. When in really this man was playing with his mind. This infiltration of the HQ is a sign my friends. That as a power newgrounds has risen above the bar. A matter of one containing its own self worth. This was handled very well and could have been much worse. As they say one blink of the eye can change your future. This issue may one day save alot of money or run ins with later problems. Sometimes we must take a bruise, but avoid broken bones.
This is just an example of fate, and it was on the side of the good souls of newgrounds. What comes around goes around.
Like pears in rain.

Damn that son of a bitch. At least no one got hurt though, that's the most important thing. But it still sucks that he got your PS2, I caught my neighbor trying to steal my GameCube when he came over to my house for dinner once, and he was like 8 years old. My parents don't let him in our basement anymore (which is like a little game room in our house where the GameCube is located).
Let's all catch thumbtacks on our bare eyes!

You like to think your invincible, but he probably would have kicked my ass. At least now I have motivation to get back to the gym.
You should carry guns in the office. Well, if you can get a license. It must suck to feel unsafe at the office.

Woah, that's pretty crazy Tom. But really, the cop saw him on the way there and didn't think there was something strange about a guy walking around with a PS2 and controllers attached to it on the train tracks in the rain? Well atleast you guys are getting serious with security now, but it does take away from the laid back and fun feel of Newgrounds now that you're becoming a hardcore lock up.

Yeah, that's shitty. Plus it would be hard to explain why Stamper just let the guy go about his business without any intensive questioning. A loud alarm system would not be effective in your case, since the door is open. It would be better protection at night.
Cameras, on the other hand, would deter. Especially if they were obvious. I've done a lot of security consulting and I have a lot of friends in private firms (devices and personnel.) So if you'd like, I can come up with a full layout for cameras, mirrors, and added locks and deadbolts. PM me if you want it.
And, most insurance that covers from theft tends to get a little cheaper when you've got extra security. That could be a plus.

You don't need camera's just common sense. We don't usually learn this lesson till it happens, but just keep all the doors locked and if someone wants to come in, they are gonna have to ring the bell.

It really sucks, though... The office is our little comfort zone and that comfort zone has been violated. I'm just glad things didn't turn out worse than they did. Now we just have to carry on our day and get back to work. At least it will stop Stamper, Jeff and Mindchamber from playing Street Fighter all the time. :)
Holy crap Tom(though I doubt he'll personally respond to this, since they're all basically saying the same thing) that really sucks. Honestly it does, I mean especially since you were in there the NG building at the time.
But yea you are probably right someone must of tipped him or whoemver off, to know that the building doors are unlocked for the delivery people and stuff. If that game room has doors, perhaps you should shut/lock them and/or get a security thing on them, or something so they cant get broken into easily either.
Just a thought. You know like, some "code" thing.
What if it was just a NEWGROUNDS USER THAT DID IT! If they someone caught wind that you leave your doors open and stuff. That would suck total ass. Especially if they were reading this right now.

Luckily, no one got hurt. Would have been a sad day if Stamper got his ass kicked. What a cocky guy though. I mean, robbed in the day and he just played it off casualy?
Tom, you should buy a gun. I'm serious, if that guy gets away, I'm sure he'll come back. Just get like an awesome shotgun or some other defensive weapon to fend of criminals.

funny thing too. Just this morning (around 6:30) i thought i heard someone breaking into my house. I was all freaked out (because if the sun's down, they want to kill you and aren't looking for stuff) so i ran down stairs before calling the cops to make sure it's a man, and it's my cat, knocking over stuff.
So, i do know how you feel, (not the freaked out part, the "OMFG WHAT!?!?!?" part lol)
