What the hell is fthe? And yes we should appreciate this word because everyone uses it everyday in almost everyone of they're sentences. I mean come on people you say this word more then a pervert masturbates or thinks of hot women. *snaps fingers* Appreciate!

It's actually sorta useless. :P Think of time where if you just didn't say it the person you're talking to wouldn't know what you meant. You can either just be more specific or just not use it all. "Guy from ice cream store dances badly" as opposed to "The guy dances badly" or even "Guy dances badly."
Sure you sound like a cave man, but you're totally understandable and if everyone stopped saying "the" than it would be normal and not really affect anything.
