The goverment did know what, when and where they would be attacked. the day before the 9/11 or shall I say on 9/10. All the gold was removed from the basement and inportant data from 400 hard drives in the twin towers were transferred onto german computers at once the day before the attack. Tell me this, if they didn't know they were going to be attacked, then why did they evacuate all of the gold and do backups of the data from the twin towers in computers of a different country so shortly before the attack?

All the gold wasn't removed roughly 1 Billion went missing.

The democratic system in the US a two party system. That is - one party more than China or Cuba. And both American parties are right wing and authoritarian, from a european perspective, so it doesn't really matter that much what you vote for anyway. And you have a Government which gives you false information as grounds for starting a war, creating a huge national deficit.

I could go on with this forever, but I think you get the point.
America is by far not the most democratic country - and not the most free either.

Let's take Sweden for example. Sweden has a parliamentary democracy - (and does have a king, but the king is only there for show, and has no practical influence over politics what-so-ever). Sweden has a several-party-system, and any party that gets over 4% ov the total population's vote get a place in the parliament. The party that get's the most votes get to form administration (if they get under 50% of the total amount of votes, they might have to ally with other parties, and the group of allies with the most percentage of votes get to form administration).

In Sweden, You can apply for campaign-support if you've started a new party and wish to run for parliament - but you need a certain number of signatures to get funding.

And Sweden doesn't have the patriot act - and a lot more security against State intervention, as well as the fact that most governmental documents are official in Sweden (which means that everyone can read them), and documents are considered "classified material" for a shorter period of time. If you are to withhold a governmental document from the public in Sweden, it has to be deemed a direct threat to national security - and the rules of this are a lot stricter than in other countries (especially America, where from what I understand, documents can be classified pretty easily without any real reason - but if I am wrong, please correct me and give me a viable source).

It's called Guerilla warfare, its actually pretty different than conventional fighting. Your right we have an amazingly large budget versus virtually no budget, but think here, they can mix in and out with the populace and don't even want to confront us on a real battlefield, so pretty much that takes all that budget we have, and throws it in the trash can. The guns, the bulletproof vests, all that shit can't stop a bomb going off two feet away from you where you least expect it.
Now, we could kick their asses rather easily and put all our budget to good use, how? By bombing the shit out of every damn city in Iraq. But we don't becasue we're civil and we're going to work through this.

I speak as an european when i say that america isnt he best nation on the earth. They have their ups and downs. Lately ive seen america getting a president whose victory many have questioned. I have seen america getting a president who lies to the public and waits with helping until its too late (katrina, failure to warn the public on 9/11) And ive seen a president who goes to war over amtispeculations about who they support and how much power they have. Now i hear that its not fair that the people of who america have invaded and put under their rule fight for their freedom (America the free nation WTF)
I dont think that the american people are to blame for this, however i think the imperialistic policy of the current american president causes the public to get a very negative view of america. I dont hate america, i hate their arrogance and the fact that noone have the real strength and will to opposed them yet. Maybe you think that im just a commie fag when i say that the government should try and provide equal treatment to everyone in society, but a free nation should be one where justice, healthcare and education is only there for a small nobility or a small number of rich persons.
I think that the ideals america USED to stand for are praiseworthy and great. The idear of the individuals freedom. But the lately new ideals of imperialism and more rights for the few rich is something that should have ended with the downfall of the european kings.

Personally i think scandinavia is the best place to live and im gratefull every day of my life for living here.
