Recording From the Computer

Just wondering what program I could use to record sounds straight from the computer without a microphone or anything.

It seems like an easy idea, but I'm not sure what program to use or how to do it.

Any sound on your computer should be on a wav file or some type of music file somewhere on your computer.

I've heared you can do it with goldwave, I have looked but I couldent find anything about that on the program, I might have not looked hard enough.

Doing it with Goldwave would be ideal, because I already have that on my computer.

And I do have the file I'm trying to record off on the computer, but it's too large to get into Goldwave so I want to just record the part of it.

I can't find a way to do it with Microsoft recorder either.
