I'm a rocker, through and through.. but my opinion doesn't matter, anymore than anyone elses..
the only reason I've decided to give my valuable time to this topic is because you have created a sense of irony that I think you need to be informed about..
You have created a topic titled "Rap Needs To Be Destroyed". But by doing so, you have basicly said "Rap Is a Threat". No it's not. It should be a NO BRAINER that rap is inferior to rock, and I guarantee you that before you shared this CLICHE` opinion with Newgrounds, more than 50% of everyone liked something else more than rap... Normally such an "emotion-based" argument would be pointless, simply because it IS emotion-based. But here's the reason why rap is inferior:
1. Rap music offers no real musical creativity.. It IS a form of poetry, I'll give you that, but I refuse to believe that talking in rhyme with a little beat in the background qualifies as music.. the beat usually isn't even played with drums or anything percussion-related; it's usually just some attractive sound that can be initiated with a push of a button on a turntable.
2. Music is serious business.. It's human emotion; the only thing other than love that allows me to refuse that we live, crap, and die under a conformical system similar to ants or viruses... and the fact that all they talk about, with the exception of your beloved Kanye West and other similar ANOMALIES within rap, are cars, money, and women....well... it goes without saying that rap is a deformity on the faces of artist who strive to create music based on suffering, love, etc.
