Id sometimes rather submit something I know will get a low score but still just see what people think, I never have though because of the batting average thing.

Artists no longer have to remove old submissions to improve their average, they simply have to submit new, better games and movies! Artists are also now free to submit goofy stuff that may have previously hurt their average.

Everyone should take a moment and thank Liljim for implementing all these great changes! James does all the PHP / database programming, so without him, these features wouldn't happen.

This goes along well with the last bit of news... people don't have to worry about their old, crappy work since it won't affect them now. So now we can really see the evolution of an artist since their old work won't negatively affect their stats.

I do agree, though, that 3 submissions is a bit low. Maybe something a bit more inclusive would be nice, giving the artist more incentive to submit more and more good work? I was thinking 5 or 10 would be good numbers to ensure that there might still be one or two works of flash sticking around that the artist would want out of their pool.

Excellent idea. I had deleted a submission, to see if the batting average would change. When it was higher than I had calculated I was confused. Now I get it. That's a fair rule, though it might not be a bad idea to use like the top 1/3 of a user's submissions, to properly weight it. Just a thought.

lol this update is so great ...! Even Fat Badger ( the King of the TOTW ) Batting Average went from a 2.92 to a 4.12 !!! Hahhaa!!!! This will definitely shut the mouthes of those who diss him because of his turds!

I would like to thank james for kicking my batting average up about 0.20 and putting me at 4.12. :D

I actually really dislike that new change. Now flash artists can sbmit a horrible flash and it doesn't affect their battling average unless of course they're top flashes aren't necessarily that high scored. I like to know their overall average not just their best work's average.
