I'll tell you why I hate celebrities. Celebrities make millions upon millions of dollars, while people who actually do a service to the world make almost nothing. A couple of fine examples: teachers, law enforcement, military. I myself am in the Marines, and make $1595 a month, or about $19k a year. Then there are athletes an celebrities making millions of dollars a year, and they do almost nothing. It sickens me.

Well why don't you get a better job that pays well? So it's about the money? They do their jobs, you do yours. They get paid more you don't. Why not become a celeberity so you be one of them making millions and don't have bitch and complain about this shit anymore?

Pop icons portray a false reality makeing every one want to be just like them and end up in debt, becaus ehtye try to live above there means.

I don't "get a better job" because I'm proud of what I do. The point I'm trying to make is that celebrities don't deserve the money they make. There's no use for that much money. And very few of them do anything of any good with it (giving back to the community, etc.).

Most of them are annoying/Bad actors/singers . Like Britney Spears you mentioned , she cant sing at all , and shes ugly . Lindsay Lohan cant act . She is so desperate she goes to crappy movies like Herbie . And Paris Hilton , the most annoying one . Shes just a stupid spoiled whore who hasnt worked a bit in her life and probably has all the possible sex diseases .

i hate celebrities because they are fucking attention whores with perfect bodies that steal the fucking spotlight and make america look bad.

dont suppose any one hates them and britney spears music being great :| well whatever thats a matter off opnion but it sucks so bad they get huge amounts of money for not much when theres people who work 50 times harder and get 100 times less

They're the upper crust of society. Despite the fact they're human beings, they're always considered to be better than everyone else. They get rich for doing little work, and spend their money on the stupidest shit.

because they get treated to all these parties while our military is fighting all over the world for our freedom. Also when you ever hear them in magazines all they talk about is realitionships and shopping. While people are homeless and starving with not even a cent on them. Most celebrities need to learn how hard it is when you dont have much to start out with in life. They should learn to work at our jobs and do other things that us normal humans do daily.

There are only a few celebrities who give the rest of the actor/singer/etc. group a bad name. People like Paris Hilton, Tom Cruise, Ashlee Simpson and the like are all attention whores. They can't take jokes, can't understand other humans, and can't understand why some people don't like them. There are good celebrities out there- Alan Tudyk, Nathan Fillon, Jack Black, to name a few- but you don't hear about them as much because they prefer to not suck up attention and would much rather act in movies that they think would be fun to act in, not movies that they're just doing to get attention.

Hell, you can relate it to NG if you like. There are people who spam and post just to get their post count up, and there are people who actually make inteligent posts. Go figure.

Very few of them deserve what they have. They have been used by different industries to make them as much cash through stereotyping or playing along to a certain market. They are false, they are irrelevant and ultimately this leads to them becoming arrogant.

These people (apart from a select few with REAL talent) would be nobodies, they would be cleaning toilets or some other low payed job where they have little respect.

They are nothing special - all they have is money, and without this they would be nobodies - but they still cannot seem to comprehend this.

It's also the mindlessness of celebrity culture. I couldn't give a shit if two people i have never met, never plan of meeting, have never seen, have never talked to are getting married/divorced/having kids. If it was someone i knew i would care - but whilst wars are being fought in the middle East do you really think that the fact they are getting matters whilst brave American troops are giving their lives for some unknown cause?
