Worldwide Support? With this PR? Ha! Methinks not.
In all the talk of us going to war with the evil Hussein, diplomatic relations to solve the 'Korean Crisis", the space shuttle Columbia blowing up, etc-
It seems everyone forgot we have 600 of Osama's finest in our front yard. What does everyone think?
Still, the fact remains, at a time when we're pointing our finger at every one else in the world, we are violating serious human rights by detaining people who did not destroy the WTC or the Pentagon-they merely fought invaders.
Now I do not endorse anything osama or the taliban has ever said. EVER, but these are the facts. Just because Bin-Shithead told everyone that we're evil doesn't mean we have to prove it to the POWs. They were just following what their leaders said. That happens in america, too sometimes.
And that's what they are-POWs. We didn't go into Afghanistan for fun or profit. We sent CIA over there, but don't tell me they rounded all 600 of these guys individually for the specific purpose of interrogation. Hand picked? Probably not. I'm willing to bet they made the mistake of surrendering under fire.
Some of these guys would probably love to get out and then sneak into the US with an A-bomb, but I'm willing to bet they're all not quite that brainwashed. There has to be at least one redeemable person in there. They should at least change their status to POW and hop in line with the Geneva Convention-think what would bush say if saddam did the same to our soldiers?
I think he'd call hussein a savage.
Osama and anyone who follows his train of though should die. And I mean it. The human race would be better for it. Just a few less unwanted loonies in the gene pool.
The foreign policy we so willingly push onto other countries must also apply to us.
That's my 2 cents.

I'm not condoning holding these guys for minimalistic involvement in our war, but the fact remains these guys still hate us with a passion, are obviously willing to die, and have the connections to get what they need to attack us with. Just think how outraged the people would be at Bush if he released these guys and months or years later one of those same men suicide bombed or went on a killing spree.
I'm willing to write this off as Bush playing it safe, and even though I know it's wrong, I rather kind of like it because it just makes me feel a little safer and it pleasures the little hate kitty in my head that makes me so hateful towards anyone involved in the 9/11 terrorist stuff because I feel as a whole they got off too easy. There's still way too many of them out there, even in our own country. I can bet Bush sort of feels this way himself and is playing to the majority of the people who feel the way I do.
