I find it funny how the government is telling people to use plastic and duct tape to help seal their houses. I was in the military and know this simply will not work. It is sad the government would do this to give people a false sense of security.
If we are attacked we are attacked. Their is little you can do to protect yourself other then to go out and buy a full class C chemical suit. So please don't waste your money. Just buy a gun to shoot the roiters if we do get attacked.

The media is saying to use duct tape and plastic to seal around doors and windows.

It's just scaremongering, telling people to seal up their houses with duct tape. But it's working, people are afraid of an attack and so they will allow the governemnt to do whatever it takes to neautralise the so called "Threat".

So, instead of being poisoned, we can suffocate!
I see the logic here!

There was an article on the internet about this a few days ago (I forget at which news site). Somebody said that the general terrorist alerts scare people. In reality, they are meant as a guide for the military and law enforcement... in reality, there is very little average citizens can do. This leads to a feeling of helplessness. In order to give people the illusion that they have some control personally, they offer up advice like the plastic and duct tape theory.
The truth is, if you are at ground zero of an attack, you will most likely die. Accept it. Get over it. Move on with life. Worry more about the gun wielding crackheads waiting to shoot you for the five dollars in your wallet. Wear your seat belt. Watch your diet. You are far more likely to fall victim to accidents, crime, or heart attacks then terrorism.

Everyone should be issued with a standard-issue Class A Paper Bag Mk II.
In case of terrorist attack, climb into paper bag, and seal over head.

Seal with duct tape, no less! We've solved the problems of chemical war!

The terrorists have won. We are now paranoid and live in fear. any time there is a threat we go nuts and raise the alert level. They've done exactly what they were setting out to do; affecting and in a way controlling our lives.

You still have more of a chance of dying in a car accident than you do getting killed by terrorists. The U.S. is using scare tactics. They have been for years. When a population lives in fear, they are much easier to control. You combine this with the mainstream medias propaganda and you have an easily manipulated population.
