I agree with you, and I'd really like to think that we're eventually going to stop being so stupid as a species. But I'm not so sure... For 4,000 years we've had racism and genocide, and I'm not sure I see why and how we would just stop all of a sudden. It just doesn't seem... likely. And I'm being a realist, not a pessimist. Plus, some people think that by getting rid of/hating a group of people, they ARE bettering themselves and their surroundings.
