I would very much like to join up. It seems that to investigate on fact and subsbsequent (i.e logic) seems a better proposition than viewing the world through dated and superstitious eyes, often relying on unproven texts thousands of years old (i.e religion). I was schooled through an Anglican school and that merely reinofrced my belief that this particular religion (and any other I can see) are simply ungrounded groupings of confused or follower-type people.

No offence is intended to any memebers of religions, you have your beliefs and the above is mine.

As you may have noticed the political forum is not the most active place on NG. I have not been advertizing nor have I been spaming other forums to gain notoriety. I look more for quality of those who would be interested in joining rather than boast an inflated number. Of course if numbers mater to you then I suppose you missed the point of this group.

Spike: how about we create a downloadable graphic source file for the members, we can put 0 as the member number then they just have to change the number and export it. It'll keep the fonts consistent.

That I did my good man. As an atheist I by nature am not easily swayed to put things up to chance. This way I could enjoy the town without losing my shirt. I also had to laugh because I saw people kissing crucifixes before placing a bet. Even if you have religion you know there’s something wrong there. Hey spike. Wondered my none of my e-mails got answered, hope you enjoyed Vegas.

What I meant for the badges was that we have a ready made one without a member number available for download in a .psd or something. Then people can download the file and add their own number to it.
It just makes sure the text and positioning in the badges is consistent.

I don't want to be an official member, per se... but can I be a front man? You know, one that can represent your league in the more ignorant of chatrooms without having any "official" ties? I could explain all the fallacies in their arguments and then fade away into the night...

Not that I don't think it's a good idea, I just don't want to join any clubs or crews requiring me to post their logo or anything. Plus it helps me keep an unbiased, scientific point of view in my arguments.

Sure PreacherJ, you can do that if you want. I don’t recall requiring a badge though, members are pretty much left with that decision. Too bad you won’t join us officially but It’s good to see another person with the same value for dialectical discussion.

A message to the league in regards to my current absence,

My sincerest apologies. These past few days have been hell for me so I haven’t had the frame of mind to do anything that required thinking other than the huge amounts of homework my professors keep heaving on me. All that and a flu can make me forget about a lot of things. I still have every intention to get this moving along faster and I hope that you have been patient with me.
