learning to play guitar

Hi i just decides to pick up my guitar again after about 4 years and i noticed i'm really bad at it :) (used to be somewhat good, but now i can't do anything anymore)

so does anyone know some easy but cool songs i can play to pick it up again? (i mean really easy things like woo hoo from the 5.6.7.8. and that kind of stuff, well, maybe a bit harder then that.. )

You should learn theory, not just songs.

Yeah, Iron Man is the way to go. It's incredibly easy to play, and you don't need a band with you for it to sound good.

Look up the tabs on ultimateguitar, I'd also recommend picking up guitar pro 4 demo or something.

I would suggest getting your hands on a copy of guitarpro if possible.

For easy songs, anything by the white stripes. Their stuff (especially the drums) is so easy its insulting.

Well... learn bar and cheater chords, those really help... learn open G A C D Am E Em E7 Dm and F... for easy songs checkout some tabs on www.fretplay.com , also it depends what music you like. Like most punk bands, the majority of the stuff you hear today is all bar and cheater chords, and you can learn some old Beatles stuff with open chords. For example, American Idiot is G5 C5 F5 C5 G5 F5 before the vocals come in, and Twist in shout is all G A C D stuff.

I beleive it would be called Rock and roll; but no guitars, sorry , or like Tremble and Crawl , or like What the hell are we doing here, all we've got is bass, drums, and vocals. Yeah, once my friend was playing that tune, and then a black fellow came up to us and said he was going to throw a beat down over it, so he started to jitter and shake, but then he couldn't throw down a beat, so he left and said "maybe later" and gave us props anyways.
