'Shredders' is one of the best gory films I've seen. Rent it out at your local video shop.
'Braindead' (Dead Alive) is the goriest though.
And 'Hostel' is shit.
dismemberment brutal shit saw and hostel have nothing on it kinda old though

I've seen both Dead Alive and Hostel. There are a few scenes of gore in Hostel, the goriest (I think) is when the Asian woman gets her eye cut off and pus rolls down her face.
In Dead Alive, a guy gets his face torn off, and so much more. Dead Alive is a lot more gorey.
Traces of Death... Then again, that's not technically a movie.

Someone at least post why Hostel is worth watching. It was beyond me, why that film was at all good. And I've seen eye-gougings in shitty films, like the Zombie Chronicles - unless you're a total (for want of a better word) noob to gory films, one brief scene ain't worth anything, especially in a perpetual sea of shitty plot and dull characters and darkness to the extent that you may as well close your eyes and listen to it...

Most people probably watched it because they heard the first half-hour was basically porn.
Scanners, for the infamous 'exploading head' scene.

Hostel is fucking overrated.
Ichi the killer was probably the goriest movie I ever seen.
The hills have eyes, 2006 remake.
Download the unrated edition.
Some parts were gory as hell.
I'm weak-hearted :(

I saw the one that they showed to test audiences, before they edited the fuck out of it. The average movie going audience couldn't take that shit.

Dead Alive is THE goriest. A close second is Riki-Oh (Story of Ricky).
I would watch Scanners on the basis of the exploding head, but is the movie any good?
