i doubt it would work. just add a link the NGDD in your sig, like me and many others in the crew. people will say "hey, whats this 'NGDD' thing" adn click it. we dont want to be the US army, running commercials every couple of minutes to get people to join. serrously, they must spend millions a week just to run all the ads they have

Good evening everyone. I am Elite Guard Sergeant Turkeybean. I have been a long standing member of Newgrounds and the Elite Guard Barracks. What will be outlined here is who I am, what I am about and why I would like to join the NGDD. I have read through many pages of this thread as well as the FAQ. I will be sure to cover the topics required for admission within this post.

I have put my fair time into Newgrounds, the Barracks, and the Portal. I am now looking forward to new possibilities here for me. I am dedicated to my communities I involve myself with. I feel as though, over time, I will be able to become an asset to the NGDD. I am intrigued by the separate departments designed to aid within their own. Getting groups together for one cause can be very effective.

I feel as though I am seasoned throughout the BBS and the Portal. I have seen and been involved within many events and situations that have arisen over time. I have been able to stay on top of what is going on and provide valuable information when needed. The collective group of people and resources that are available here is truly amazing. I wish to be a part of that in order to aid others in the same path.

The department of the NGDD I am looking for enrollment to is the Portal. Although I feel as though I may be extremely useful among the BBS as well, the Portal I feel is a good choice. There is a great deal I feel I need to accomplish within the Portal. With the right training and advisors around me, there should be nothing to hinder my progress. Aside from that, I understand that there is great leadership within the Portal Department.

At some point, if possible, I would like to also aid in the activities of the BBS department. I am thinking not as much as a full time member, but as a extension if you will. I would be willing to help there in the absence of a member or under special circumstances. This is purely a thought of my own. I understand if something such as that is not possible. Something to keep it mind.

A thank you to Ghost_Phantom for my main introduction to the NGDD is in order. It was his post in the Barracks that pushed me the rest of the way to come in. He has provided excellent leadership through very much of my time here on Newgrounds. Starting in the NGM, and now currently the Second Commanding Officer of the Barracks. He has provided me with the tools and resources I have implemented.

So with that said, I am going to bring this post to a close. I appreciate the time you all have taken to review what I have put forth. I will await a decision. Thank you.

Nope. Which department do you want to be in? There's Flash, Portal, Audio, and BBS. Once you become a Corporal in that department (after 10 days) PM Ghost_Phantom, and he'll give you the password to the specific department that you are in. PM Ghost_Phantom if you have any other questions.

Well, it looks like schools is coming up for me on the 7th for me. Meaning there's not much of a likely chance for me to post on the weekdays. Luckily, I signed up for intro to computer graphics second semester. Once I can get the hang of using flash, you can expect something from me.

Well hello there. A big thanks for the welcome Phantom. I had been waiting for you to come through and accept me here. I was biting at the bit, so nervous to see if I would be accepted or not, ha. I am happy to finally be a part of the NGDD. I think it will be good to branch out a little further through the BBS. From the looks of things, I should have a couple old friends already here. We’ll see what happens.

A professional essay writer eh? Thanks for the introduction. I am sure that will set things up quite nicely. I guess I do tend to have some long posts here and there. I just figure it is easier to get everything I need to into one or two posts. That way I do not have to make five posts over a page to get everything across. Just like with my “can I join” post, if I get everything into that one I wont have to play twenty questions after. Streamlining.

As it seems you will now be my commanding officer in another thread. So what shall you have me start to work on? I am sure you already have some heinous duties in mind. Trying to break my spirit early on. I can only imagine what hell I will be going through with you. It was a big clue when you mentioned I should join the Portal department. So to everyone here in the NGDD, I am looking forward to working with all of you. I know we have some great members here as I have seen by the member list. Some of you I already know from other parts of Newgrounds. This should prove to be quite interesting. Some of you may know me from the Barracks, others know me from farther back and deeper than that. If you don’t know me yet, you soon will.

I am generally easy to go along with anything. If you need some help and think I can be of service, make sure to say something. On the same coin, if you have a problem with me, say something. I don’t like games or bullshit. Just get out with it. Trust me, saves a lot of time and energy. I am looking forward to meeting some of the new faces. Always good to work with some of Newgrounds better regulars.

I know some of you will probably groan over the length of my posts. They are not always like this. I do have shorter posts. So when warranted, you wont have to read an essay in order to get through one of my posts. I just like to make sure everyone knows what they need to know. I do not think that should be too terrible to deal with do you? I thought not.

So, if you need to contact me use the PM system. My e-mail and Aim are both in my profile if it is not as urgent. I will start to use my Aim more often as time moves on. I am not usually too hard to find. NGSM, NGM, EGB, are the easiest places to catch up with me. Oh, and one last thing. If you get tired of typing Turkeybean, Turk works just fine. Check this out. The dude who released the two StarCraft movies two nights ago didn't get any daily awards and his score would have gotten him #1 and #2 the day he released or #2 and #3 yesterday.

Somehow he was completely overlooked. He even managed to snag Weekly 3rd on one of them with no daily?
