DARKSOLDIER IF YOU ARE STILL READING PLEASE READ THIS:
I know I've been kind of busy, almost too busy to run the NGDD. Of course, I'm not the one with the plans on who this building is going to get renovated, and it may be too late. We had the members a while ago, and we were getting some momentum. But it was all lost when nothing got done.
So I ask again, is this place worth keeping up, or should we just put her to sleep so she doesn't have to suffer anymore?
Being completely honest, I feel the humane road would be to kill this thread now. If Dark still wants to keep this place going, he can find members who promise they will join and stay active and make a new thread.
But no matter how the votes are split, You need to realize that some things must die. Even though you love your 103 year old great-grandfather, what life is he living when he's confined to a hospital bed, soiling himself? Even though you love Rocky I and II, why would seeing Rocky III, IV and V continue the magic? Even though you love the Department of Defense, what kind of future is it going to have? Is it worth spending time and energy to do, when it'll just end up as an old boys club where a few old guys sit around drinking and reminiscing about how great this place was?
You need to take a good look around here and see that none of the old guys - except for 2 or 3 - have interest anymore. There's nothing that we do that the EGB or the NGPD doesn't do or can't do. Newgrounds has changed since this place began, and other, mightier clubs and threads have fallen: Rage's, Are We Still Friends?, and many more have become stuff of memories, legends that the old guys pass on to the new members. Do you want to end up like the Newgrounds Mafia, a group of guys talking with a bunch of 1 posters, or do you want to die with whatever dignity we have left?
I say we end the pain and kill it now. Kill it now before it becomes embarrassing. If you want to continue, wait 6 months, find a few older guys who'll keep posting, and let the new guys not be so intimidated. But turn off the respirator on this thread.
