So there will be a new thread? sorry I was reading the new posts but it may be a good idea with the old system being out of date. Some of the things you listed sound very good it would be great to have this thread active again. My internet playing up at the moment so I'm trying to look before it goes again sorry of topic I know.

Don't worry about it mate, you've got the statistic you wanted even though it wasn't what you planned on so it's all good. When do you plan to make the official change to start anew?

Assuming that there isn't an overwhelmingly persuasive argument made by anyone or a sudden rush of nostalgic people, the new thread will be created after the redesign is done, for obvious reasons.

There has to be a probation. Without it, people would sign up, leave their mark but never come back. If we have a probation period, people will have to qualify to get their name on the list. Plus, it makes life easier for the roster managers.

I, personally, do not see much of a point but I'm not against it.

I'm for it. The Internal Affairs department can be the managers of competitions (as well as NGDD leaders)

Absolutely. We need to have a new thread to post the new settings the NGDD has. It will avoid confusion from people who want to join and saves NGDD members from having to explain the same thing again and again.

I too am backing you up with everything, the only thing I am against though, well not against but I have a problem with, is the weekly roster. I know because I do the NGPD's roster that it does take a while and it is a bit of an effort (Your efforts are worth it when you get it posted....But anyway) and I think a 2 week roster would be good for a club of this size.

The EGB's roster proves my point. However, I agree that it will take longer to do a 2 week one but it will only be 2 times a month instead of 4.

Just my views that all. So, I have a few things to ask:
~ Do you need any help with the redesign, I know we are kinda helping now, but I mean, any help with the rules and whatnot?
~ When will the redesign be put in place?

I'm thinking the purpose should be the same as I've always seen it to be, the same one set out on the first page of the old thread (not at the top, but somewhere on the page wondermuffin its creator gave it the purpose): to "defend NG from spammers, stupid clubs, ripp-offs etc" (his own words and misspellings, not mine), to "defend NG from dumb entries, whistle them, look for entries and clubs that are against the rules etc", by setting a good example, by voting fairly, by making quality submissions where applicable, by avoiding the known qualities of undesirable users (spammers, trolls, and rule-breakers, just to name a few), and by generally contributing positively to Newgrounds and its community.

This might just be a sign, my friend. Perhaps the NGDD isn't meant to be. There are already B/P clubs which take care of all the issues the NGDD does. Maybe, as hard as it is to let go, this thread should be locked, with no more derivatives.

No, the NGDD is meant to be. Just when the NGDD is in it's current state meaning it has no purpose at the moment until the LD System is released of course it will be inactive. I've said multiple times, i don't care if people are inactive. Once the LD System is released everything will be fine.

Dark, you need to step it up, though, if you want this club to stay around. I'm at the point of exhaustion from this Eagle Project I'm planning, and my time on NG has been severly limited. I don't even care that i'm missing spelling words. But I'm not going to be here much for the next 2 weeks between my project, Boy's State (a government thing run by the VFW) and a 10 day trip to Costa Rica. I'm going to need that trip just to unwind.

I'll second that. A club can only be "clinically dead" like this one for so long before it becomes impossible to resuscitate, and this one lost heart activity a while ago. DarkSoldier, I know you probably have other things to do, but I'd ask that you try as hard as you can to develop the new system, whenever you can get any work in.

Not only will it require a lot of time, and effort to maintain and keep it running, but also it has no future, no reason to be. What is the purpose of this club?

Is it to blam/protect, and flag inappropriate submissions? That is already taken care of in the Police Headquarters and Elite Guard Barracks, two crews already up and running, doing a good job at battling the portal. Perhaps we should devote our time to those crews and get something done, rather than put unnecessary time into this one.

TheThing, I know you've worked hard on this, but it isn't worth it. To be a man, we sometimes have to let go of things we helped build. Don't be the captain to go down with the ship, you're better than that, I know you are.

The one thing that aggravates me about this is, many people support it being rebuilt, but how many, in all honesty will actually help put their time into this, and take time off from other things they like just to keep it active? There wont be much discussion like before, and hoping for change wont make it happen. I'm not trying to be the bad guy here, I'm trying to help you move on and see the big picture.

I really want to come back to the NGDD but there has been lack of everything lately. I know I wasn't the best leader of the Crew, but when I promised to get things done I involved everyone here in the decision making process and made sure everyone knew exactly what I was thinking of changing. People here need to see progress or they're going to question leadership.

That's where the problem lies. We've gone what, 3 pages in 2 months? That's ridiculous. Dark, if you need help from someone then you need to request it. Phantom and you are keeping a lot behind closed doors and while the club is submitting a ton of ideas, no one is showing any interest. I have a lot more free time on my hands lately.

Thing has gone a pretty long way for being as busy as he has been and a lot of people are submitting great ideas. Go back to the pages where I submitted my plans and you'll see the involvement I'm talking about.

I'm sorry to say but if this doesn't get anywhere soon I'll leave for good. I keep coming back willingly to join, but there hasn't been as much lately as I've wanted to see. Maybe I won't make a difference, but to me this place has been pretty cool on Newgrounds. Been coming to this club since I was 16.

If you need help, ask. Don't keep everyone in the dark, is all I'm trying to say.

Me and Phantom have been talking about the NGDD. We've gotten some good ideas. We're progressing towards making a final build of the LD System. There's still some issues that need to be addressed.

I think some of you will like the ideas that we have come up with for the LD System. Some of you might not..? I don't know that. We'll just have to wait and see.

I have been checking all the ideas posted here. I take note of all of them. Trust me. I am reading every post here. I might not be posting but I am always watching and reading this thread. I guarantee you that.

I will post some of the ideas later. I have to go eat now. The reason i post this now and not when I'm done eating is because I'm sure one of you is typing something as I type this telling me how I'm not active. So yea, you'll be hearing some of my ideas when I'm done eating.

I was writing the post of the ideas i had for the LD System and I was almost done but i accidentally closed Firefox and BAM! EVERYTHING WAS ERASED!!!!

It pisses me off so much, i wrote like 7000 words. I'm going to re-attempt to write this again but god damn it this is really the tip of iceberg. Fucking bullshit firefox.

I'm sorry DarkSoldier The LD system been so slow coming and I have to agree with APF I don't want this club to die it has been dead lately. I hate to admit that I find myself losing interest I want to be excited like it used to be. As said others clubs do the same I miss the old chatter here. I know its takes time I want to see this club busy not dead. But I get what happened and that sucks.

Whenever you do a long post, ALWAYS use Microsoft Word or another program similar.
