The NGDD is going to some reconstruction and so I'm not going to put you into the department you wish to be part of. Right now, you have two options, you can either stick around and join into the discussions we have about the reconstruction or you can wait until the NGDD is finished its reconstruction period.

Yes, it has been a while and I take full blame for it. I have been really busy. I haven't really been speaking to Phantom or TheThing about the LD System. I haven't even been talking to you guys about it much. I've been really busy and May is the month it gets even MORE busier. Exams start May 19 but i have a lot of school work and other things before May 19. So if the system doesn't come out in May don't kill me. I'm trying.

I say we run like normal until the end of May, when we make a decision on whether we push forward with the redesign, keep the current format, or just close the NGDD.

In the mean time, we can work on the redesign without feeling any more pressure than we are right now, because I fell it too.

It's been a while, but I agree with you, Thing. If it isn't completed by May, then we should decide if this club should be shut down, or we move ahead with the system.

When people start considering the closing of a club, it's time for a new mission statement. You guys will need to change your goals as the NGDD to try and keep up with an ever changing Newgrounds. Just keep in mind that any system you ever make to change or replace an old one will have major flaws and you shouldn't be discouraged by those flaws because they can be fixed.

I agree that we should let it slide until may or just close this club down. Well maybe not close it down forever....

Maybe we could work this out, iron out the flaws and start a whole new thread and NGDD which is bullet proof, something which is solid and will not get overlooked.
We could use this time in may to discuss what could be in the new group and why we should iron out the flaws and make a new one.

Come on guys, the NGDD can't die. Its just in need of repair. Repair which I think will be done with 3 things:
1. A new thread altogether
2. Some good co-operation
and
3. Come good ideas.

What about that? Anyone want to take my idea further? I'm just saying that's all because i don't want to see this club be gone forever.

Major Flaws, yes. The LD System is suppose to be a system which I can use it's success to build off the New-NGDD System. But i don't want the LD System to be a system which contains too many flaws. It has to be something usable which is good for the NGDD's foundation and Official System aka the New-NGDD System.

We shouldn't close this place. The NGDD has been through hard times and we dug out of those hard times. This is another one of those hard times and we'll find our way out of it but not by shutting this place down. We've made it this far, we can't just close down.

Bad idea, we can't just make a new thread. Newgrounds is changing by adding things like the Art and Literary Portal. The NGDD is going to have to add that to it's departments. So we can't just create a new thread unless we could edit that first post whenever we needed to. And even if we do create a new thread, we're going to have to fight the mods on this one. I doubt they will let us have another thread again. I remember Dave/life or was it Wylo who had to fight to prevent this thread from getting locked when it was created. So it wasn't easy.

just throwing this out here. but while i was reading ya'll post a thought bubble came up and i saw each of you guys talking in a round table about newgrounds, some of you were in normal clothes, other had high ranking clothes and one of you were reading the paper, another eating, and the last one looking outside the window. just saying any body else every though bout' that. if not then ingnore. :D

It isn't my decision anyway, but due to the current restructuring work around the department, we are currently not accepting new recruits. From the last few posts, I'm guessing that the main decisions about the restructuring will happen towards the end of this month to the start of next month, and it will be another few days or weeks after that until the end of the restructure, if it ends up happening.

I'd recommend LiveSwif or Alligator Flash Designer. Just Google them or something, and you should find links to download them legally for free.

At this moment in time we are not accepting new members I don't think, because the whole NGDD is being changed, for the better obviously. So there is no point in you becoming a member now....For you to just have to go through the whole thing again.

I actually agree with Kidd's thought. Some of us do try to get things done, others don't care, and others want to but don't.

Hopefully that'll change with the ultimate uber mega vote of the century coming up at the end of May or early in June.

Lizzardis - Where were you? The vote I'm talking about is whether or not to close down the NGDD. It was agreed that at the end of May, we'll have a vote to see whether we should let the NGDD die peacefully or make it come back to it's once great status.

As Lizzardis, I missed 'the Vote' too...
I think i'm going to vote for not Closing it. Even mayor changes are necessary, i don't think is impossible, and we don't have to be and absolutely amazing club again, maybe we are aiming very high...

I agree with aldlv. I vote for it not to be closed as we still can get it back up on its feet, yeah maybe it won't be a great club like it once used to be, it can still be a great club.

yesterday (or was today?), well, Ng staff added a different layout for the Flash portal, you see the flash in a wide screen, they have a big play button... and other few cool things...

I actually like the new wide screen feature. It has a few bugs and kinks in it, but no where else on the internet is there something like this, at least from what I've seen.

That really wouldn't have been a wall of text. It's, what, 8 lines? Hell, you could have even separated them into 2 paragraphs of 4. You don't need to space out every line.

So...are we going to see a new system soon? Or...what's going to happen to this place? I'm excited to see what went down after all these months of planning, but as an ex-leader of the NGDD I feel that you've reached a point where you should be asking for everyone's help. If you remember when I did the NGDD, there were a ton of flaws, but I still had it prepared and running within a month.

If you need help, everyone here will help you work out a system. Including me.

Yeah, i want to apologize for the inactivity i have presented here. Homework and stuff have been time consuming and exams are now in progress. My last is exam is June 12th so expect a lot of activity coming from me then.
