Hey guys, I was wondering if I could join the Flash and the BBS departments. I meet all of the requirements for both departments. ;)

Hey guys, I just wanted to apologize for not being active the past week, but you wouldn't believe the shit that went down. The internet on my whole college campus was down for a week. The advantage was a lot of papers were postponed and a lot of classes were canceled, but I couldn't deposit for a week and I couldn't post here. I just wanted to let you all know I didn't forget about you all.

Did I miss anything?

Hello there AnalPenguinFarming lots being happening not here ,but on EGB lots of people quit including NEVR and Joshiwa. P-Bot not working he seems to be malfunctioning, only got the top five from Tuesday. I got the role of Portal Violations Officer, I took over from PossiblePancakes as the position was open. Been reporting loads of stolen stuff, which got through judgement. I like the role I have been doing that anyway. Gotta rotten cold and sore throat my birthday next week so quite Lot.

I thought it was damn disrespectful that a mod can just come and post a 3 word post in here. They may uphold the rules but from what I have seen their behavior is less than exemplary. Some mods are Ok though. I treat everybody with the same level of respect here, users, mods and admins, some mods do not.

Mods are people; once in power, they can get corrupt. Not all do, but some. They were brought into modship not because they followed the rules to the t, but because they were instrumental in bringing people to the BBS, or have made it a better place with funny, and/or interesting topics. Some have spent years on the forums, and they feel they have the right to do whatever they want; they were the ones that kept the site going, and try to keep it as clean as possible.

You are totally right "TheThing" Mods ARE people, they can use their power of authority for good or they can become corrupt. A corrupt mod is usually unlikely to find (in my experience on Newgrounds) but, becoming a mod is not as easy as you think that is why they are mods. NG chose them because they make Newgrounds a better place.

So how have you guys been on B/P, reviewing, or any other factor of newgrounds? I've been mainly B/Ping and reviewing audio lately. I should jump up a lot of spots in the top 100 audio reviewer list this weekend. I should jump up quite a bit of spots in the top B/P list also. I've actually been getting a lot more blams then usual, which really make me happy, since they are so rare to come by.

I think it's because once you have been given power, over time due to that power some people's attitude can fade, due to hate mails or shouts at them for whatever they lock or whoever they ban, their attitude becomes more harsh to all members, I would like to think many members on Newgrounds respect the mods for the jobs they do however there are always those who will want to break rules and then complain about the mods for banning them. :\

I have not done a review in like a month so lazy ,cant be bothered get round in the end. My b/p adding up to around 6 not very good. Been doing my role well I hope anyway. Keeping an eye out for user submitting dodgy flashes, still lot of the stolen flashes not deleted unless they are okay. One been submitted but I think looking around that the author Bedalaga, is the right author here http://www.gameshot.org/?id=2943.

I really like the new rich content linking or whatever you want to call it. You no longer need to use the Link button for posting flash submission links Phantomlassuk :D

Me too. It looks fancy, though some of the slower computers may suffer a bit from the loading if there's a lot of those posted on the same page.

It's definitely a cool feature, and makes it a lot easier to see when someone is posting a flash, or to even post a flash. You can still get a normal link for it, but only if you want to hide it.

I'm entering that. I'm waiting until the 19th to submit a flash or two; I want to find the best of the best, and up my chances to win. Plus, I don't want to act like the thread is a +1 post count thread and just post 1531465846 flashes

Today there is nothing to talk about for me *sigh* I am bored. I got 80 b/p points last night and flagged so much abusive reviews, I think I might get the bronze whistle this week. I also don't see the [FF] anymore. (Fagot Federation). Hahaha!

Well I'm not exactly sure how it happened, but I went to bed on Thursday with a brand new silver whistle and I'm now 'garbage'.

I haven't made any posts that are abusive and I've only flagged reviews that have said 'your gay' 'go and die' or variations of, what have I done wrong? :\

Sorry dude, but I should not feel bad for you because you are supposed to be a portal guard. You should dig yourself out of the hole you just dug yourself into or I might think we should not allow you in NGDD. I just did my whistle shining and I have to wait about a week for the results to kick in.

Yeah, this seems to be the problem...

I think we might have to put your probation on hold until you get back your whistle status or i could give you the remaining days of the probation to get back the whistle but if you don't get it it's a big risk because we won't re-allow you to apply for the NGDD in the same month.

I'll leave the choice up to you.

Sure I have played this before stolen maybe Stolen I cannot find out where from damn it will pass judgement soon, of course with the lack of proof, I cant blow the whistle. Shit another stolen game maybe passing judgement. Well DarkSolider I dont know what Im doing wrong, ive got a Mac so maybe that the trouble.

Not to try an interfere here or anything, but several of our members have garbage whistles if I'm not mistaken. Maybe they aren't active in the club at all, but barely any of the members to this club are active. I actually joined the club when I had a garbage whistle and that wasn't too long ago. Also, from watching the abusive review thread lately people have been going from bronze, silver, and gold lately right down to garbage whistles.

It could be nothing. It might be a glitch, or since you flagged those reviews (that I assume haven't been deleted yet) that calling them abusive counted against you to the point of being consider garbage. Give it some time, and go out there and keep flagging!

Personally, I think something is wrong when you go from Silver to Garbage overnight, and it's not with the user. I think that we should keep the kid as we had him before he announced that he had a Garbage Whistle, but give him a week from the end of his probation to get it back. That should be more than enough time for him to get his whistle back.

But that's just my opinion.

Well it took me 6 months of marking abusive reviews to get out of garbage to normal and that was by marking about 50 reviews a day, mostly the things that BR posted in the abusive review thread. It took me so long because I was in the deepest hole possible though. I'm sure your not that far into the hole if you just turned not too long ago. It shouldn't take you as long.

Well like I said a lot of people have been losing their whistles lately. One time so many people were losing their whistles and the one time the reviews that weren't being deleted were so abusive that nobody marked anything for a couple of weeks in fear that even if they marked a 100 percent abusive review that they would lose their whistle. I just reached Deity and wanted to see if they were telling the truth or if it was just a couple of people not marking correctly so I went in a marked 5 reviews. I went from Deity to Gold just like that so I took some time off just like the other people and when it seemed like people stopped losing their whistle status I started marking again. It took me one night of review marking to get back to Deity.

Yeah there is a perfect example because the reviews he posts are almost always 100 percent abusive. Almost..

Take your time and don't rush it. Rushing your whistle will put you in the hole worse when you start marking things that could be abusive, but maybe they aren't.

I can probably get back to normal in a few days with the help of Aci6, I'll come back once i've improved.

I'm sure you probably have a good idea of what makes a review abusive anyway, but if you want to polish off your knowledge a bit more, I made two flashes on that topic here (see Abusive Review Guide 1 and 2).

Hopefully you'll improve your whistle status again soon, just remember to flag conservatively and if in doubt, ask a review mod. Feel free to contact me as well if you need help with something :)

Fake Hentai spam crap one I just blammed one

The portal been to much filled with crap ,the spam which was gone is now replaced by crappy spam. The group (FF) are not that original some ,of their stuff I think was okay. One think you notice about spam artists is the same intro or changed slightly, usually long with fake comments then a loop there you have it. Not being clever or new its tedious after a while.
