After browsing the past few pages I suppose I should say something. First, brief history. The NGDD originally was a care-free environment to be in it flourished for that time, a lot due to spam. Then the club got around to wondering whether it should be more focused and became more structured. However, due to the structure, the carefreeness slowly dwindled away. Ever since then the club has been under constant restructuring (which could also be because the leaders keep changing) due to people's general boredness and dissatisfaction with the order of things at those times.

TheThing was mentioning how cold the place has become and while I agree to some extent, the coldness really depends on the quality of members. You can't really force a place to become warm. Actually if you tried to do that, you'd just be making it even colder.

That all being said, I can't see a way to ignite a flame for the NGDD. It requires a delicate balance between people being social and NG oriented.

Regarding Phantom, I'll just say that he was one of the best members of the NGDD who although forceful at times, got things done. Which is also why I handed the reins of leadership to him.

I don't think I'll ever come back officially. I use NG BBS as a last resort time-killer sort of thing. Right now, I should be studying for the MCATs but I don't want to and if I start watching a movie or game I would feel extra guilty, so I'm here on the BBS.

To do my part for the portal I'm going to review about 50 submissions tomorrow. If I can't get around to 50 then I promise that I will at least get 400 reviews. I have 371 right now.

So the contest is over right now, right? Anybody know how long it'll be before we get the results of our hard work?

Contests are decided by me basically on the fly. It might be some time before I hold the next contest since I'm already up to about $35 in prize money spent so far for you guys. You'll probably be added to the memberlist whenever DarkSoldier has the time to update it.

The reason new members aren't added to the memberlist right away is because it's a pain in the ass to do a memberlist cleanup when we don't know whether or not they're dedicated enough to keep coming back. Just because you're not on the memberlist doesn't mean you can't post here or you aren't an official member. But in your case, Corky, you ARE on the memberlist under the Portal Department, you're just on probation.

However if you think it's that important (and I don't mean that sarcastically or mockingly) I can do it right now, but you won't have your XR added up.

XR stands for Experience Ranks by the way. Anyone who has any questions at all needs to take a look at the NGDD userpage because it has all of the information you need to know. You can find that userpage here. If you look under the "Index" portion of the memberlist, you'll see links to all of the information you should need to know about the NGDD. Read there before asking here.

Haha thanks guys. Good news is I have some of my morning off so I've had time to go for a run and make my own breakfast instead of starving myself like usual. I've even gotten a few seconds to check NG a couple times, which is unusual for me.

I'll go ahead and answer you as plain-and-simpl-ish-ly as I can. It's credits, basically cash you can earn for being a good NGDD'er. It takes time to earn them if you're just going to wait around for them to add up, but you can get them from contests too, so that makes it easier. I can't remember much about them, so you'll have to ask AnalPenguinFarming about it. My memory isn't as good in this field as it used to be.

BTW, we do allow some short posting, but we will expect them to be intelligent to make up for that. Make posts atleast two lines long and think about what you say before you type it.

We have a shared account where we are suppose to write reviews for, but most of our members go inactive for some reason. I don't write reviews, all I do is vote for the account.

I wrote one review today not alot but as i said before, i have to put alot of effort in my reviews. Another 19 and i will have 700 reviews. I look forward to the contest results, i dont mind if it takes ages to see them.

By the end of the week i'm looking to make my 100th review. I know it's not much but.....you know.

The Great Firewall of China. The Chinese government decided to put up a massive filter to stop Chinese citizens from looking at anything they thought "disagreeable". Sadly that includes porn, and there's a lot of hentai here on NG... So NG is blocked in China, and I don't assume that there's a ton of proxies left open to the Chinese either, which would allow them access to the outside.
