You wouldn't believe what happened to me.

There was a storm over NY-VT about 6 days ago, and my place was hit hard. In fact, it fried parts of my computer X( Including the card that gives me internet. I was offline for the last 6 days thanks to that fun little incident.

When it storms pretty hard you're supposed to unplug your computer so it doesn't fry. That's what I did last week when it stormed really bad. Did you work while it was storming, or did you just forget?

The subject was inspired by TheThing when he said the NGDD is more business like or something like that...

So.. i would like to hear what you guys think. This has probably been discussed many times but it hasn't been discussed lately and a lot of changes has happened hear in the NGDD.

The Thing was right to an extent. I mean it only seems like the clubs alive when there's a contest going on. I just think we should talk about stuff not pertaining to the NGDD.

That sucks. So does your computer fry because lightning hits a power line and then the excess goes to your house and overloads everything? So do your lights burn out also?

I finished doing the reviews for Review Request Club this week. I was checking out the flash portal great flash by Bahamut, about his private messages. I remember him saying that would be his next ,i dont think i seen his flashes UJ before. When you make a proxy you don't have to make it public. So if you were the only one using it, then it'd just be like normal bandwidth.

Ever heard of a surge protector? You know, the things that protect your electronics in case of a surge. Or better yet, get a UPS, but they are expensive. Don't risk your $2000+ computer.

The NGDD was always meant to be a structured organization. However, that is also one of the major weaknesses since its so structured that there is less spontaneity.

That should only happen in old houses where there is improper circuit protection and/or grounding. Unless you connected a wire to your bulbs and stood outside in the rain with a long metal rod.

Can someone answer the question that I had a page or so ago? What are the competitions that you guys hold in this club?

I would like to join The Department of Flash. I know i make the requirement's of 200b/p.

Well, I am a new member(still on probation) but the current competition is an audio review competition(details on page 384 or 385, I'm too lazy to do a link, I'm sure you can find it) and it lasts about a week. From what I've heard, there are flash review competitions, posting competitions, and other things. But you don't find out what the competition is until you've already signed up.

It's so fun that way XD

WTF, I leave for two days and shit hits the fan. Phantom apologizes, and Wylo returns, which has brought me to make this post about past leaders.

Phantom and I went back and forth with PMs when he made a good point about remembering the past leaders of the NGDD and remembering what they have done. I myself apologize for how I treated Phantom because it WAS a little unfair how I was acting. The past leaders here deserve a lot of respect for what they have brought the NGDD to. Wylo, Phantom, and life are probably the best leaders the NGDD has and will ever see, and I took that for granted a little bit by the way I treated Phantom.

All older members are always fully welcome back to the NGDD, and we should respect them. If you have a difference in opinion with them, then take it elsewhere or work it out. The same goes for myself as well as other members. Just because you're new to the NGDD doesn't mean you can't call me out on a mistake I've made. TheThing and I went back and forth arguing over something that was important to the NGDD's success.

Hopefully you'll be rejoining us Wylo - if you have the time. You're always welcome back - as you are the true Commander of the NGDD. Well, in the newer ranks of the NGDD you would be considered a "Supreme Commander" lol.

So, anyways, I wanted to make sure I posted here because I went to see my girlfriend in the city for the most of the weekend and wanted to make sure things were going well in the NGDD. Hopefully you guys are still going strong with the audio contest - even though I haven't given much motivation, but I SWEAR the prize is still there. Contest ends tomorrow night at 11:59 p.m. if I'm not mistaken.

Once you've been approved by the Department leader, then you are on probation for 10 days pending your acceptance into the club. Basically, you're supposed to do stuff relating to that department and be an exemplary member during that time. i.e don't get banned from reviewing audio.
