Hey everyone, I just have to apologize because I'll be fairly inactive this weekend. All I'll really be doing is depositing and getting a few B/Ps here and there. I'm completely packed with extra credit essays and studying for finals this weekend or I'm fucked and I lose my 3.0 along with my scholarship. I really can't afford to lose it.

On the good news side, I'll be doing some recruiting for the NGDD this week so that we actually get more people in on it this year along with more competition. But for now, I'm out of here. Have a good one, all.

You're very right. We have no Department Head and no new members in the field. I've gone through your audio submissions and they're fairly good. Welcome to the Newgrounds Department of Defense! You'll be put on probation for 10 days before you're fully accepted. In your case, you won't become a Department Head right away due to lack of experience, but if you have any questions or comments feel free to PM me.

This week I'll be starting to recruit new members for the NGDD. I thought a change in the rules would give us an increase in members, but instead it has only gotten us the same amount of active members we did in the past. No offense to our older members, but we're aging and getting lives as opposed to how we used to be. This isn't as popular as it used to be.

I plan on trying to recruit new, higher level recruits so we can maybe be more appealing to newer incoming members. I just figured I would let all of you know before I actually went out to begin recruiting.

Slow day. No one really posting here so I haven't much to say other than I've been studying all day long and it's hard to concentrate. Newgrounds has kept me busy in my in-between time which has been good, but sometimes it's never enough. Today was a total stat-whoring day for me. I seem to have more than usual lately for some reason.

About 75 B/Ps all together today and I've almost hit 320 reviews. Fairly exciting day, and I should have my next B/P rank by the end of the week. Then next week is a nice level up that I'm looking forward to.

How is everyone else doing? Not so much stat whoring wise, but in general?

Dude, that sucks. I've only done that on the first month when I signed up. That's when my friends came in to rescue me from total boredom :P

I actually lost a reg on my crew. still mourning that. But everything else is pretty ok.

I've been busy procrastinating lately so I won't be able to hang around much along with the upcoming final exams, thought I should let you know.

I would like to officially resign as the NGDD BBS Department Head.

I know I only served a short term (what, 3 months or so?), but recently, life has gotten in the way, and I don't see any way out very soon. Between my job, school, Boy Scouts, my research paper, and what I can scrap together of a social life has left me limited, if any time for Newgrounds.

Don't confuse this with waning interest; I love this place, I love you guys (no homo), and I love Newgrounds. I just don't have time to be the leader of a department right now. Please keep me on the list, as I wish to still be part of this organization, I just feel that with my extremely limited time, I cannot preform my leadership duties to the best of my abilities, and that is what this club needs; some one who can put 110% into their job.

As for me, I hope that when early-mid June rolls around, I will be freed of my most of my commitments, and be able to dedicate more time to my beloved site and club, along with getting this job back. But for now, I'll be amongst the commoners, looking up at the leaders with awe and respect, hoping that one day I too will be able to rejoin their ranks.

There's only so many times a club can be locked and then re-open itself to the public. All I can do at this point is try and recruit the older members and see what they say. If I could get ReconRebel and Lotus to come back, then I'm positive I can get other members to come back as well.

I'm honestly not worried about what's going to happen to the NGDD. I don't plan on being the leader that let this club go down the shitter. I'll be busting my balls to get the NGDD back to how it used to be, and I'll need help from everyone here. There's gonna be some changes going on again, and I know it's early since the last changes, but something else needs to be done. I'll keep you all updated.

I come on NG today, go to the forums, half the posts involve cock, taking the piss out of someone or something else lame. The site has gone to shit.. when i first came on NG.. NG created fads and internet fashions, now its just going to hard, everyone trying to fit into this "hey im a cool internet user" which is really sad, need to get a fucking life.. frankly its a site, and people get so hyped up over getting freakin points on a little shitty page for voting 0, in effect pressing a button.. OMG isnt it cool? NOT.

Well fair enough. im more than willing to come back and try to help.. but im just warning.. it aint this club that is wrong.. its the other 98% on NG.. this aint targetted at certain people.. im not a nice guy anymore..

Woah, hold on guys. I never said I was leaving. I just said that I'm stepping down for the moment, and will be back to my leadership duties. I'll still be popping in every once in a while, I just don't have the as much time as I used to chill on NG. But I'm glad to see that I'm well liked around these parts.

As for my successor (for the next month or 2, maybe 3 max), I don't want to name anyone who feels like they wouldn't be able to handle such a job, or just flat-out don't want it. But I would like to see either DarkSoldier or SoulMaster to step up and take the position; they seem to around the most, and truly care about this club. Not to say that others don't, it's just that it's more evident and visible in those 2.

And I agree; Newgrounds has gone downhill in the last couple of months, going on about a year. All of the older, better members moved on, especially after all the noobism that went down in '07. Some came back for the redesign, but realized that more shitty members joined because of the same reason.

I know that in someone's leaving topic, I posted a beautifully written super-short essay on why he (and other older members) shouldn't leave over the mass of shitty users invading the site. I could dig it up, but I have to make an outline for my research paper, one of the many things sucking up my time.

So little time has passed and so much has happened, with Thing leaving 'n all. As for NG's downhill I will for myself make sure I don't spam( which I never do anyway) and try my best in keeping the Portal safe. This should go for the rest of my Dept as well.

It's been blammed by now, thank you for bringing to our attention what you thought is an improper flash. We are (and so is the EGB) here first and foremost to keep the portal clean. However personal opinions about the flash, shouldn't be said, you know, red tape stuff.
