OK before I start if you are not going to give any serious or helpful advice then I suggest you leave now.
I was talking to my mom one time (I just got through my freshman year of high school) and she told me that as long as I got high honors for the year (92% overall or above) she would be proud of me and I wouldn't be grounded. So I tried my hardest all year and finally ended up with high honors. In addition, I had been taking guitar lessons, been in the marching band, and was part of the stage crew for our spring musical. In addition, my high school won a Gene Kelly award for best crew and technical execution, the only thing we were nominated for; as I said earlier, I was part of the stage crew. So I went one day without practicing my guitar. Instead, I helped her clean the entire house (sweeping and dusting every room). She cancels my guitar lessons. Then you know what she says to me? "You are the most pathetic child I have ever seen." I was stunned.
Am I really a failure?
