Think breakbeat, except the drums are programmed to have different variations, so you'll never hear the same pattern over and over and over, or, it's all just bit by bit, and there's no variations what so ever.

There's some good breakcore out there, but most of it is just drum mashup nonsense with dodgy samples thrown in for good measure. As with any genre there's a lot of shit you have to trawl through to find the good tracks.
I agree with SpamWarrior that venetian snares is a good example, his album
'Rossz Csillag Allat Született' is quality, a rare mix of strings/classical with big breaks over the top, nice.
