Oh yeah! you call them electromagnetic waves(rays) do you? Yeah that's right, ah then it was just a misunderstanding of scientific terms. Sometimes they also call them all light, and then the colors we see is then visible light.

According to Mythbusters this shouldn't be possible, they tried it too but the power the device gave was not enough for an LED to burn.

why make perpetual energy when we get every day enough energy for everyone everywere??
if someone made solarcells able to take advantage of all of the suns light (ultraviolet, infrared , etc..) a field like I dunno how much it was.. 10-20 acres in a desert would be enough energy for the world..
plus we can have aeolic energy(I think thats how its called... fans..:P)
plus we can use the waves of the sea..

the only problem is that there is too much money on fossil fuels and the US government , every government in fact wont let this happen..
you know im not trying to sound paranoid/psicho.. but yeah theres going to be savotages to the field of energy..

then again a much smaller fields in different countries could do the same.

man I could see it now.. no more smoke, polution made from power plants..

all we need is someone to invent a more efficient solar cells..
and.. better batteries to hold the energy..
yeah..

ps I got this info from the discovery channel I think.. im not crazy... really...

Wtf, light isn't waves, waves come from the sea... Light is when everything is brighter.

Yeah right....not 10-20 acres but 10-20 thousand acres, and I'm not sure at all this would be enough

WHAT THE HELL!!!!

I'm new here, this is not good. Any half good mod in his right mind should of checked his rule book. But seeming as this has been accepted I may as well join in.

Dont be such a tard, perpetual motion can only be achieved one way. find your self these items:-
one cat
one slice of toast (buttered)
some sort of spindle device, the smother it spins the better
string, needs to be strong

Now, here is the theory that I put to you. your toast, no matter what, always lands butter side down. Cats, not only are cute, but always land on there feet.

So what you do is tie your cat your spindle, tie the toast, butter up to the cats back. very very carefully give this a gental drop. now these two fundelmental laws of physics, rules that hold power over even newton him self, will creat theee most dangerus energy source ever!!!

Now if only I can fix my wofle iron...

How can you pwn som1 thats dead! You can PWN HIS SHIT! BUT NOT HIM!. And your shit isnt perpetual cause it used magents and the magnets energy is limited... so that mean your machine could be 99.9% effective but it need to be 100% to be PERPETUAL!.

I know but thats with current solar cells that dont take advantage of all the light the sun emits..
thats why I said all the different types of light..

for the love of god people:

it is not a perpetual motion device!

it is a magnet generator!

the use of it gradually saps the magnet of its strength. the magnets are the source of the energy, and like any other fuel their power is gradually depleted.

yes, I said that to get the topic started. I knew that it would create discord.

Now that the topic is 5 pages long I think I can abandon all pretences.

hmm... i was thinking... is there any way to lessen the gravitaional pull on an object? (maybee in a vacum or surrounded by special metal)

what is gravity exactly anyways? how does it travel? are there "gravity waves? " XD

can they go through the walls of you bathtub? XD

You mentioned magnets. That would mean that it isn't perpetual motion. Since it relies on magnets, and magnets expend energy (and eventually will run out,) your machine is absolutely possible, but not perpetual. Sorry!

All programming problems can be solved with Arrays!

I can't believe that I'm actually jumping into the fray, but after reading all of this crap there are two things that I feel the need to point out.

First, light both is and is not a wave. According to the theory of General Relativity (upon which I won't elaborate), light is both a wave and a particle, as it carries the properties of both. The reason we see in different colors is because of differing frequencies in the visible spectrum.

Second, and also according to General Relativity (along with the Schrodinger Equation and all of Stephen Hawking's work), gravity is three dimensional space bent along a fourth dimension, which we cannot perceive. As an illustration, place a bowling ball on a matress and some marbles near it. The bending of the mattress itself represents the distortion of three-dimentional space. The more mass an object has, the greater the distortion along the fourth dimensional line, and therefore the more powerful the gravitational field.

Sorry, guys... I was a theoretical physics major.

By the way, now that it seems that everyone has had his tries on perpetual machines. Now let's get the masterful man called Escher show how it's done.

Okay this is getting a little out of hand, it started out as fun - i think i can safely say every1 who posted has realised a 15 year old on newgrounds isnt gonna beat the numerouse scientists who have failed, and proved it should be impossible to make a propetual motion.

But now, it seems to me, this post has turend into a laod of people trying to boast that they know the most about physics. Theres contridictions going on everywhere, people being corrected, and points being raised that even i, with only a gcse in physics, know to be complete rubbish.

What im saying is stop calling other people over for thier confuesion, correct them by all means, but do it politley, coz what im noticing i think is no one has a real clue anyway.

1: prolly doesn't really work like you think
2: pictures
3: Laws of thermodynamics
4: the energy taken to loop it prolly removes the efficiency back to 100 (lawl)

Fuck. No more animated sigs. Suck my left testicle.
