redownload pg2, if you still have this problem, it's not pg2, your system is tho.

anyways use a client that has a block list built in like Transmission and for added protection enable encryption, but in my opinion it is useless.

Huge post, but, I'm a good BT user. I always seed over 100% and my download speed can reach as high as 800 KBS, I've seen it happen. If I could tweak a work computer, I could get twice that, but alas, I can't.

I just dislike people who limit their upload speed way too much even if they're not using that for other purposes...people are annoying.

it's not that we want to limit your upload it's that we have no choice.

in Canada for instance our ISPs limit p2p traffic, so we can't download or upload at full speed.

also lots of people have small upload speeds. like in Canada it common for the max upload speed to be 120kbps, but you can't upload at your max because you wont be able to download at the same time, with a asynchronous internet connection the internet is one way communications.

also p2p uses more traffic than direct connections, if my max upload is 120kbps i have to limit it to 40-80kbps so i can download at the same time, about 20kbps is used to communicate with the tracker and peers iam downloading from.
