True to some effect. Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels did predict that a communist revolution would start, but they guessed wrong (I forget the 2 places where it occured). It still did occur though. They predicted it and it would happen, AND agreed that it was the right thing to occur, but they did know it wouldn't last.

The debate is that communism is evil. I wouldn't call it evil outright, but it's definitely a seed of evil. The poster makes excuses for why communism fails: because mankind is imperfect, but communism itself is the perfect system. The perfect system would be one that empowers human nature; not one that tries to subvert it, which is exactly what communism does. It forces you to be equal for the good of the system; and less equal than others at that. To limit who you are and what you can do. Because for communism to work, all power must be first given to a central authority. The central authority does neither. Ever.

This is because people commit the ultimate political sin in communism: grant politicians unlimited resources and power to make choices for them. Capitalism gives the poor a choice to either maintain a high-standard of living or live it. Communism gives the poor guns and a reason to incite class-warfare. Take your pick.

Communism and capitalism both rock and suck at the same time. Other people have explained this already, but my thought is:

Communism destroys itself from the inside. Control over every single economic factor that occurs
in a civilization is not easy. Under natural human instincts, corruption would always happen. The idea of
trying to build a society where everything is perfect is impossible because if fantasies like that ever happened,
it wouldn't be a fantasy. This is what makes realism what it is.

Capitalism sucks balls too. Companies exploit their employees and make them work hard for low wage. Even though capitalism
gives people the opportunity to move from low-class to high-class, capitalism is still what defines low-class and high-class.
Capitalism also naturally plays monopoly; private business have no chance against Wal-Mart. Eventually, capitalism leads to
just one big market where one person owns everything, and basically controls everyone's share of money.

Communism=bad
capitalizism=better

Some one correct me if im wrong, but in communist countries, an object is worth the labor put into it is it not?

We are not in a state of degradation, as the standard of living and our economic strength is continuously increasing. Thus, no such revolution is likely in the near future.

To anyone who thinks Communism is good: you are most likely looking at the poor side. What if you are richer than most people? You will LOSE money, and also hate communism.
