A couple of people have said FHTI by Alkaline Trio. Now I've always been a fan of them, but I don't really understand why people choose that album over their later effprts (Crimson, Good Mourning), because I see those records as their stronger efforts, and out of all 5 records I'd say FHTI is the worst..

Good to see newgrounds appreciates some badass music and is not restricting themselves to modern music (unlike me). Feel free to chuck your reasoning in, tell everyone why your music rocks better than theres.

My reasonings

First Impressions of Earth - The Strokes

This album was the critics least favourite out of the strokes 3 albums due to the fact that they thought it was more polished and didn't take the spontanuity from earlier tracks, however this is without a doubt there best. Like the title says it is Julian Cassablancas First impressions and rather than tracks being focused on failed romances it goes into social issues and where the world is really at all summed up in the best song ever "Ize of the World"

Is This It - The Strokes

Obviously I'm a bit Strokes crazy right now rightly so I might add, This album is some awseome music and lyrics recorded terribly with the vocals all rusty in the background giving it a post New York Dolls feel to it together with the best cover art ever.

Easy - Grinspoon

Grinspoon isn't to internationally known but define Aussie rock and are prolly one of the best live acts out. This album did average even in Australia and was there last album before going a bit mainstream, allthough the lyrics are random at best it has some awseome Guitar and Bass riffs and is great to listen to before going out to a party.

GTFO!

FHTI has got Private Eye, Mr. Chainsaw, Stupid Kid and Armageddon.

And if that wasn't enough (which tbh it is) also got other classics like Crawl, Trucks And Trains and I'm Dying Tomorrow.

There's not a bad track on FHTI.

If the light is green, the trap is clean.
