FireFox Addons

ive had firefox for a while now and ive finally gotten to the point of chaning things...i mean that was one of the reason i switched to firefox in the first place...not counting the tabbed browsing and the fact tha ti hate IE
but i was wonder what kind of addons some of you guys sue
since Ng is the first place i saw firefox some odd amny yeras ago now

this is a sweet one caus emy mouse dosent have and short cut keys like back space sor anything coll like the wireless logit ones offer now a days....whith this i just hol;d the right button and move like less then an inch and it does something

OMg this one lets you convert a page to how it would loook via IE wouth out having to let Ie ever access the internet
this is by far one of the best ones yet since firefox dosent show a lot of sites the way they are ment to be shown if your liek me and are still learning the ins and outds of it

I use Last Tab, Faster Fox,Image Pile (wish there was an imageshack one),Cookie Safe, and a FTP manager (I host my own and find myself browsing other people's all the time).

I would have more, but whenever I try to download one, it says something like "Software installation is currently disabled" And I can't fix it, I would want that IE Tab one though.

Adblock is something I find pretty useful when certain ads get annoying or intrusive. You might want to look around, I think there are more recent or better versions of it out there somewhere, but this one works fine for me. I usually clear the list once in awhile, because annoying ads don't stick around forever, and websites do have to pay the bills somehow.

Image Zoom is one I find really useful. It allows you to resize/zoom images in your browser. Is an image too small, and you want to see it a bit bigger? Zoom in! Did someone post a giant image that's hard to make out because you can only fit a fraction of it in your browser? Zoom out! Is there an image that's messing up a table somewhere and being annoying? Well this will help with that, too. I wind up using it quite a bit.

Try tab X , stealther , and restart firefox . Just to name a few useful ones. Open them with firefox.

I've found a great addon for you die hard NG fans. NewgroundsNavigate It's great if you want to go straight to the fourms, or the flash and audio portals. The theme I use is BlackJapan, it's awesome.

I noticed the creator is one of the biggest spammer's in Newgrounds.com history, and is an attention whore. But, no problems yet with it, and if there is I'll find an addon to control it. or delete it. But, how do you play music on FireFox?

Yeah that's the easiest way. Just right click the little icon and pick your current media player. It supports most of the popular ones. Including iTunes, WMP, winamp, ect.

i jsut fucked with it till i got it to work with winamp
being as i only use winamp ofr playing my musci
while the othe rones are for editing buring and upload to my mp3plaer
not to mention i did foxytunes like months ago so i really cna rember

It keeps the controls on top so you can control it from your browser. There is no library button, so it works best with pre set playlists.

I won't bother with a music playing one, just having winamp open is much simpler.

True, but when you don't have hotkeys assigned or Want to adjust the player volume without opening the player itself, Foxy Tunes works great.

True, but when you don't have hotkeys assigned or Want to adjust the player volume without opening the player itself, Foxy Tunes works great.

My keyboard has volume controls already on it.

Plus, I never really need to do anything to the player in terms of commands once I have it playing.

Open up Winamp. Look at the main window, underneath it there's a volume slider. Even with Windows volume all the way up, when the Winamp volume is down, it's not loud at all. I use that alot when I'm talking on Ventrilo, so I find it usefull to have at the bottom of my browser and not have to open Winamp itself.

I have the winamp slider to 100, and the keyboard volume toggles handle the fine tuning

Another thing I would suggest is move over to the top right where the Google searchbar is ,click "add engines", and add Wikipedia. It's a fast way to look up shit when you need it, very helpful.

you can access the settings by putting about:config in the address bar, i think the one you want is xpinstall near the bottom, if its false change it to true, then you can install the plugins

the plugins i use are adblock and filterset.G, they stop everything, banner ads, popups, everything, but flash movies still work fine

I downloaded it, it works damn well actually, but it's better if you have a playlist, overall I like it,. Plus, it shows the song you're listening to on FireFox.
