Here's another update of what I've got so far:

A - Run and hold
S - Jump
D - Spinjump

I added some stuff to Mario to make it more accurately SMWish. And there's a Mechakoopa you can toss around. But I haven't added a death for Mario yet.

I still want to know what you guys think about my idea for putting a different boss (other than Bowser) in the Clown Car.

Crap, I forgot to mention some stuff. It seems to be laggy on th net and I want to know if it seems laggy to other people. And I need to find the sprites for Mario holding stuff from SMW, I've googled but to no avail. So if anyone has those sprites or knows where they can be found, PM me with the details.

I love the idea of a different boss on a clown car. It would rock so much.

And so far, its looking great! With grabbing the mechakoopas and all, its so nice. :)

Nice feel to the controls. It's amazing how that can make even a sprite-based game seem professional.

As for your lag, swf files always run slower (frames per second-wise) in a browser than when they're run on your local computer...unfortunately you can't up the fps for this collab...even if you did, though, it would still seem slower in a browser...I didn't really notice the slowness myself though.

Bomtoons, i tried the random attack thing. i got it to work, but it seem weird getting used to it. It does seem alot better tho. im almost done. just a bit more work to go

Almost got my game back to work on, soon I'll be able to carry on :D.

Meanwhile, I have a story of a character I designed the other month, everyone I showed it off to loved it instantly, if you don't, you gotta admit it's pretty cool.

Today I started working on the platform game which is starring the character (Winky the Wombat), and here's what I got so far on that:

I couldn't find a complete set of Mario holding sprites so I did some cutting and pasting and made my own(Shy Guy Kingdom only had Luigi holding stuff, urgh!). And I put some other bosses in the Clown Car to see how they look. I may just do ordinary Bowser, although I've thought up a few attacks for alternative bosses. One idea I had was to put like half a dozen different bosses in there and have Mario defeat them one at a time. What do you guys think?

Wow I just popped back in here to see how things were going with the VGBC and I was BLOWN away...You guy really are pulling together to make a kick ass Flash project...

Damn I really wish I got in on this, But I was already in the middle of my own project...

Oh and btw,Blackfang made one hell of a good change with the Ganon music..(Classic!)

Sup guys? I decided to work a little bit on My game today, I went with a tile engine.

arrows = move camera around
a/s = zoom in/out

it kinda starts lagging like crazy when the eagle eagle gets on screen, but you'll see as you zoom out the screen fades to blue, which will let me remove the level from the scene when the actual boss fight takes place. (and the level isnt big enough for the patterns I want the eagle to fly).

Hahaha, thats really, really nice. But its no old-comp friendly. D: So it literally hates me.

The trees bug me, though. I dont know if its the placing, or the trees themselves. Maybe both.

Did you draw them? I could draw some for you. :)

Awesome news, I just got my game back, I'll be able to continue working on it tomorrow (especially seeings as most of my really important stuff is over (school projects etc)).

I won't be sending another update until the beast is killable, thn there's just the beast of knowledge (Earth Boss).

Dunno if you've already said, but is there a deadline?

Well, the Enemy Beast is now officially beatable (just need to make it react when you cast the spell, atm it just continuously lets you attack until it dies :P).

I'll upload it as soon as I've finished making it harder than it is :P.
