Free people of Iraq... That's a good one. Those people are far from free. Saddam is a tyrant, pure and simple.

If you mean by that Bush should attack Saddam, think of all those people who are not free which are going to die!
Saddam is an aashole, but there must be an other way to stop him except for attacking Iraq and killing all those people!
(Not that I KNOW an other way, but that's not the point.)

I do happen to support military action in Iraq, but the point I was trying to make is that it is ludicrous to say that the Iraqi people are "free" when they are ruled by a tyrant like Saddam Hussein, even if you do oppose an attack.
As far as the attack goes, I think we can do a pretty good job of keeping civilian casualties to a minimum, as long as Saddam doesn't start using them as human shields (which I wouldn't put beyond him).

Well, I don't trust Bush if he's talking about "the war against terrorism"!
He just wants OIL! And maybe Saddam.
He will make civillian victims if he thinks he has to.
Just as he thinks he has got THE evidence do go for a war. Some tapes which can be fake just as good as Bush says they are real. The pictures could be fake, too.
And Bush needed almost a WEEK to show the evidence, while he said is was gethered.
Was that because he needed to finish it?
Maybe...

If you compare LOTR to present day international politics, it's kind of interesting.
The US would be Mordor, gathering forces to unleash on the world (Iraq, North Korea, etc).
There would be a gathering of nations to stand against them, (France, Germany, etc. in Europe fighting diplomatically).
Britain would be Isengard, with Blair as Saruman, raising an army to join with Bush (Sauron) and wipe across the world.
See if you can think of anything like that.

There will be heavy civilian and military loses both sides. Saddam's whole plan is to pull forces into the cities. Urban combat is not easily won. Take the black hawk incident they just made into a movie. Also experts are ariad he has depoisted chem weapons in the city . That he will ignite once our troops invade. we will be wearing chem gear but the Iraq people are screwed if that happens.

I can think of anything like that.
And it frightenes me a lot.
Why can't we find a non-violence way to get to a solution?
I don't know!
