Rock and rap both have their ups and downs.
Rap has nice beats that I love to dance to... You cant really dance to rock. you can bang your head to SOME songs and get a killer headache, if you're in the mood. But both genres promote the same things overall - some songs are about sex and being rich, and some are about life and meaning. Some are really deep... others are just songs. Either way, its music. And for that, you should be thankful. There are people out there who dont like music. Those people are unlucky. They dont know what its like to feel real emotion.
Old rap is meaningful and deep and classic... new rap is catchy and grabs your body over your soul blending you and whoever is with you into a temporary heaven.
Rock is similar. Old rock is so deep and moving. And some of the new stuff has it... but truth is, music is dying. Be thankful with what we have before its gone. Thats just how I feel. Before we know it, we're going to have really crappy music... and the newer generations will force us to deal with it.
I cant stand you closed minded people who talk about hating rap or rock when chances are 99% of you haven't even heard something real from either genre.
Honestly, I cant stand country except for MAYBE Johnny Cash... but Appreciate the work and talent that the artists have. Rappers put alot of effort into their work - Its not easy at all to get the overlapping perfect with the beats. PLUS they still have to write the songs. Its the same with rock. You have to have the talent to play an instrument and be able to get everything perfect. It takes alot of time and money. Appreciate their work, even if you dont like them. Give them credit for trying. Be more open-minded, especially.
