Poor Kenzu how unbelieveably capitalistic of them, we hired a taxi to take us on a day trip, we tipped him with American money-officially not allowed- Well you know what there were no officials around so he put that in his pocket.
Why didn't you tip him in Pessos?

;
THey perfer foriegn currency if they can get it.
You see, Cuban money is only spendable in Cuba.
Those that are ... um involved with leaving or the 'darkly complected' market, are better off with something in their pocket that is worth something outside of Cuba.

Those who have only the religious opinions of others in their head & worship them. Have no room for their own thoughts & no room to contemplate anyone elses ideas either-More

How come I only hear bad things about socialism from your mouth?
And it is not my story, it is a cuban story. (Altough I'd like to have a copyright on that one.)

He just said he WAS a socialist.

Everyone is brainwashed. Brainwashing someone = influencing someone/making someone believe your ideals and share your views.

No, that's having someone agree with you. You don't get that often, do you?

Hey everyone, remember that one time people from the United States wanted to immigrate to Cuba? Yah, me neither.

Kenzu, you're a hopeless case. If Castro ever needed heart surgery, his ass would be B-lining it to a hospital in Miami, Florida. Capitalism owns you, deal with it.

I must lollerskate on this matter.

And still he doesn't say anything to defend socialism

I do, but NG BBS is an exception, because here are weird people.

By The Way, some of these weird people have been banned for 30 days I heard. Even though they deserve it, it is still a form of repression against them. Seems that there is still a lot of freedom to fight for

Seriously, you need to drop the issue. The BBS is not public, it's privately owned by the Fulps. If I were to show up in your house and start gluing posters all over your walls I'm sure you would want someone defending your freedom to have your house the way you like it. The people in question now have their own forum to do whatever it is they do, so now they don't need to bring it here.

I agree that what has been done is right! You cannot have too a life without restrictions, because then it would be anarchy.

Both Tom and Wade Fulp are doing good work!
Well done!

The end

To be noted:
Mexico, Colombia, Perú, Argentina, Chile, Venezuela -- All these countries have a moderate amount of Internet users, growing at a very fast rate.
It is of course not comparable with the levels in Europe or the US, but they still surpass Cuba by far:
Chile - 5.6 million users out of 15 millions total. Argentina- 10 out of 40. Mexico- 17 out of 110. Colombia- 3.5 out of 43. Venezuela- 3 out of 25. Perú- 4.5 out of 28.

And Cuba? A whooping 0.1 million out of 11 million inhabitants. Most of them, tourists in private hotels, given that Cuban nationals are forbidden from buying computers or accesing the Internet.

As a comparison to Europe and the US: Spain- 17 out of 40. France- 26 out of 60. UK- 37 out of 60. US- 200 out of 300.

So, don't use "but the rest of Latin America is pretty fucked up too anyways" to defend the fact that the Cuban government imposes draconian levels of censorship on its people.

Democratic socialism is the only way to ensure freedom for all.

Vietnam isn't that bad, although I don't like that there is corporal punishment.

Yeah capital punishment is killing only while corporal is a punishment for your body (which can also include killing.) It comes from the latin word ''corpus'' (body).
I meant capital punishment.

People, I am against dictatorship and against capitalism
I am in support of democracy and socialism.

When talking about Cuba I focus on socialism. The dictatorships will be overthrown soon. I expect it at the time when Castro dies.

Where lies your freedom if you are homeless and no one wants to employ you?

Where lies your freedom if you have 3 kids, no job and the only possibility to feed them is to earn money by prostitution?

Well you had freedom and you fucked it up by doing drugs or committing crimes. You aren't just born homeless, theirs something you fucked up on that made you homeless. Now I'm not saying that your a bad person, everyone deserves to live a good life, but dont blame society for you.

Where lies your freedom if you have 3 kids, no job and the only possibility to feed them is to earn money by prostitution?

Well actually your freedom was to have 3 kids. You can't do that in many place, like China for instance. Actually by the way if you are a prositute, you have a job so the last two sentences didn't make sense. In any case, in Democratic Capitalism like ours the hypothetical person you describe has a variety of options. Theres plenty of low-wage jobs, social welfare, and charity organizations. At the very least she can just marry a rich guy...

Even you can become homeless. It will be enough if you get fired and don't get a job soon enough. Later people will not take you, because they will take someone younger instead. And you will not earn enough to pay the rent. You will end up on streets like tousands do, each year just in USA. Many more end up like this in the whole world.

I'm saying that no one will take you for work, also because they know you have three kids. (Women will be discriminated here). Imagine that she is divorced and will not get a job.

She will be forced into prostitution, because she doesn't have the right to have a job.
(I'm talking about jobs she is trained on. Normal jobs, not exploitational ones)
