Ok I have to do a math project about probablity. We're doing Hypothesis Testing.
Basically I need some statistics about a manufacturer/company that cliams something to be true:

e.g. A matchbox company - All our matchboxes contain an average of 50 matches
or A chocolate Factory - All our boxes of chocolate weight an average of 200g

I will have to use a strange formula to prove this wrong, but you don't need to worry about it.

All I need from you is to help me find some examples of this. NOTE that I have to show teh actual results of statistics.

You can choose to take the matchbocx thing, but what i need your help for is finding test results (like a survey type thing).

For example you have: packet1: 49 matches, packet2: 51 matches, packet3: 54 matches, packet4: 48 matches etc... I need a link to a site that actually displays data like this! basically... th results of a survey!

Well, I got a lot of help for my past computing project (thanks to the guys in the programming forum) and I'm hoping you can too.

Your help will be aPPreciated!
thx, ty, tyvm etc...

Hey; a textbook might come in handy. Statistics class is bullshit, and I just waited for the second semester of Calculus last year (and didn't pay attention in the former). Seems like you don't understand the question very well, as you're giving us very vague variables. If you want math help from someone, it's not very grateful to give them a mangled and demented question that you barely understand.

Good luck, though; statistics are useless.

Well, since you will probably get no help from anyone, I'll see what I can do.
Check these pdf links out.

For this first link, you have to search for "matches," and you will find that you can click to get more pdf files that might correspond to your issue. Click here for the link.

It probably won't help.

This next one might. It's in pdf format.

Still, these are both kind of explanatory and don't really give you data. So, the best place to get the basic, raw, sample data you seek is the text book you seem to have lost. So, go find it! So!

Aren't you the guy who was bragging about his high iq in this thread? The irony of this just slays me. And besides, do your own work, don't be lazy.

I don't think it takes intelligence to find a bunch of statistics over the net. It takes knowledge... They are two different things. knowledge is like a database; it stores information. Intelligence is like a program: it models and interprets data. I happen to -have poor knowledge in the field of probablility because, unlike you, I don't spend my spare time counting how many matches each box contains and I don't look up websites about mathematical probablility lol.

*RANDOM*
Also, I was bragging about my IQ to improve my self-esteem, which is pretty high... But you can't have too much self esteem lol!

I will show you an example (random):
I am so smart! I am so smart! I am so damn smart! Not even einstein could measure up to me. Steven Hawkins is a troll compared to me.

- By saying this my self esteem increased by approximately 1.56739%

LOL my self esteem is higher than yours lol.

Look for matches/whatever, and leave out some if they average out to 50/200.
If you don't know how to average, please go back to third grade.

Wait. You asked for help with homework. Why are you telling me to do mine? I attend Wesleyan University and don't do statistics anymore. And I never said it takes intelligence to find statistics. But you couldn't find them. So, what does it take? I know the difference between intelligence and knowledge, and, no, I wasn't the person who was bragging about my IQ score. I don't even know what mine is. I don't know what you're talking about... "websites about mathematical probability lol?" I think you've got the wrong guy. I did give you some sites that might help you, though. You should get your usernames in order, so you don't bother someone else with a drawn out and irrelevant discussion about the discrepancy between intelligence and education on newgrounds.

You kind of lost me with your jokes, by the way. I admit that I stopped reading your post halfway through.

Damn. Be clear with your : symbols, so I can tell what you did and didn't say. Quotations are better, I think.
