I'm very interested in making music, but not the typical music you hear on the portal (what with the electronic, ambient, techno stuff). No, I'm much more interested in making theatrical music with a great sounding orchestra and fantastic concert band to suite (piano is a must, of course).

However, I do not have the luxury of having my own professional band or orchestra at my command, so I must make due with my home computer.

What I ask of you is advice on what program would fit my needs best. I want to have the most authentic sound as I possibly can. You know how you can just tell when something is not real? Well I dont want that.

So PLEASE! Help me out!!

Haha... I get pretty interesting sound out of my Keyboard alone.

But yes... theirs a sticky for on this forum for just that type of thing. Many different programs to choose from. But it's costly for real authentic sound :)... your almost better off renting an orchestra :P

Yeah, well, have you lurked through the Classical and the Ambient section? THere you´ll find that kind of music, movie score style and the likes. An author that makes such music is Edgen I was just about to say that I don´t think he´s that active anymore, but check that link, he submitted just a few weeks ago! :)

Also, if ya wanna make theatratical music, orch-style or whatever you might call it, Reason has a perfectly fine soundbank with orchestral sound. It´s quite big and personally I think it´s quite good too (but I haven´t done that much music of that kind tho... :)
