So Tom is going to be making a Front Page post about this project so all people who are joining late heres a summary of what to do:

e-mail your address to me:

1- You'll get a sheet of the sketchbook
2- You draw whatever you'd like
3- You mail it back, and thats it!

I was wondering when that was going to happen. ;)

It occured to me that this project might be completed by the time the Comic Convention makes it's way down to San Diego this summer... I'll admit, it's for more selfish reasons (I just want to see the sketchbook for myself!), but if Tom's going to have a booth this year, it'd be pretty damn cool to have our sketches on display if that's something he'd go for.

Thats a good idea, I'm planning to be there for the comic con, i think its a reasonable date to shoot for in terms of the first appearance of the finished product

This is a really awesome idea. Although I would in no way, shape, or form be able to assist in anything, it's quite a pleasure to see all the people who make newgrounds what it is today work together to make one big sketchbook, a sort of summarization of what newgrounds means to the ng community.

Well the front page posts has yielded 34 e-mails lol.. i wasnt in the mood for sorting but i think i may have to.. theres some people who are e-mailing me and they dont know what their ng screename is.. or they said they arent even a member.. COME ON.

It will go in the NG office on the 'first floor museum' when it is set up, but it'll also be exhibited at comic-con and the 2006 mod meet up.

K, i just sent out List A.

All you european/australian people it is important that you send the art back as soon as you can since it takes so long for it to make it over here. If you open the envelope carefully you could probably recycle it and send it back by just putting a mailing label over it, i dont know.

You can give it to me personally if your at the mod meet. shawn.

i was going to, but these papers are a weird size and i had the wrong size envelopes the first time around.

One note to people who recieve a sketchbook page:
Make sure you draw on the correct side of the paper! the holes should be on the left side.

I was thinking people would draw on both sides. Should people not draw on both sides? Or is it just not required to draw on both?

Also, i'm wondering about the status of the rest of the pages... Is it only a few pages and many requests? Any ideas on what you'll do about it?

Don't forget some people will probably use pastels/paints etc, therefore it may smudge with the behind page.

Yeah, I am planning to use alot of different mediums to express myself to the page.

I've got all my prismacolors and faber castells (lightfasts and stuff too), they make really sweet pencils, all creamy and stuff. Debating whether I should outline in pen though, can't erase pen. And how much of the page I should take up with one drawing, I have to plan all this out haha.
