No one ever answered my question: Can we vote 0 on movies which have already been protected, such as top 50 movies? And if not, why?

I say yes, the person is a dumbass. Blamming everything is even counter-productive. If it doesn't get blammed then you don't get a blam point. Vote responsibly.

Now that a 0 or 1 means that a movie could get blammed the crowd seems divided between lynch mob, voter's rights, and moderates. If anyone else is upset for lowered scores, get over it. Just because some noob votes 0 and changes your score by .01 doesn't mean you should get all bent out of shape.

Actually Buttboy (hehe), when we had the X button and it was clicked it was the same as clicking 0. However it was supposed to also flag the movie for our review, but that never happened. We now have the whistle system.

Hey Wade, what about people who vote 5 on everything? People do that too. Would that be punished?

You can, but we'll know. However, we feel our users should have the right to shape the TOP 50 as they see fit. However, voting 0 on good movies just to get something they like better higher in the TOP 50 list results in all the TOP 50 movies getting lower and lower scores. That is why no movie holds over a 4.00 for long and eventually averages out around a 3.77.

I agree with you. That's all I have to say.

I'm guessing all those movies you just listed were under judgement at the time? If so then Id definetely say you should delete the account.

My girlfriend calls me that because I like da booty.

I forgot about X doing the score thing also. The whole scoring thing is a hard thing to plan perfectly. Blams have to be done by the user or it's too much for the admins or mods to blam every movie. Even if that is figured out, user will still have a problem with people lowering their score.

Speaking of 0 voters, anyone remember that k1lo guy? He would hit the X on all clock movies and copy and past the voting results in his reviews. Is that guy still around?

Hmm, so it is not wrong to do this then? Thanks for the input though, I appreciate it.

Give them a warning first Wade; if they don't stop or do and start up again when they think you guys are "looking" delete their accounts.

MOVIE TITLE | SCORE AT TIME OF PROTECTION | VOTE GIVEN

Absolutely. A warning or perhaps two would go down well first,of course, but just voting '0' regardless of the quality just isn't right.
How about old user accounts, too? Say over 18 months/2 years without being used... that may clear space for new ones :)

I didn't care for him either. I always wished that he would post on the bbs and explain his hatred of the clocks. Now that he is gone, I guess most people don't who he is.
