Everyone knows that Grand Theft Auto was the classic. The classic "crime" game that started that genre. It became a "genre" when people tried to compete with Rockstar Games hoping they would get the same succsess. WRONG. There are all those crappy games, like True Crime and the Getaway. The only good "copycat" is The Godfather.
True Crime streets of LA was awful. The Getaway wasn't that bad. It had it's moments. A detailed, re-creation of London is obviously going to have a lot of potential. The main problem was, some of the missions were so vague that you could never figure out exactly what you had to do; unless you paid $$$ for the strategy guide. The second biggest problem was the fact that some missions took place in almost total darkness! WTF?! (I HATE it when game-designers do that! It's the quickest way to ruin an otherwise good game)!
Despite having it's moments (shoot-out in the strip club, the very last mission & cut-scene. And definitely, the shoot-out & escape inside the police station), it did better as a movie than a video game.
