As list updates go, this one seems reasonably easy to perform. My main issue is that I won't be able to update on this week, as it's Birthday season in 1 1/2 hours time, with 6 birthdays and one Wedding Anniversary in the next 15 days. Fortunately, one of those is my own and they're all on different days, so it keeps me active :P

He posted today so he's alive at least and has internet access. Seems impolite (and a waste of time) to update if he's already started. We should at least give him a while to reply.

2 Seperate updates? To make it easier? Is it not simpler to have it all at once as the submissions isnt that difficult so no sense putting it on its own. I think we should wait till tomorrow, or at least a PM reply.

Well, each week we need to review all requests made between the previous list of requests and the current update of reviewers. So if they're posted together, you could end up having less than a week to listen to the audio, which I personally don't think is enough time.

Disregarding this particular situation, I think it'd make sense to maybe post the list of requests on Saturday (or Friday even) and the reviewers on Sunday (or Monday). That way, everyone would have slightly OVER a week to do reviews, not 'around' a week. I'm just thinking out loud, as in a month or so, Milinko's gonna be heading off and we'll have to take over the list ourselves.

Anyways, in this particular situation, I think it'd make even more sense to do the list of requests - otherwise a request made tomorrow would only have 3-4 days for us to listen to it. The fact that it's easy to do is surely an argment FOR doing it, not against.

Anyways, although I don't want to go against any of Milinko's wishes, I personally feel it'd be best to do the requests tonight and update the reviewer list tomorrow if he's unable to.

I kinda like the idea of two seperated lists and I think it's worth a try. I also think that milinko surely don't want to abandon this place now that it's running so fine and because of that I believe he wouldn't have anything against one of us doing the update.

I was just thinking that it'd be funny if Milinko wanted to show us the need for a contingency plan.

I mean, he's pretty reliable (or has been thus far) but the successors might not be. To avoid similar problems when he leaves and someone else is doing the list, it might be an idea to always have a 'vice list-maintainer' who would do the list if it were more than half a day late (with no notification in this thread).

I suppose if the review/requester lists were to be kept separate, there could be 2 people doing the lists anyway, and the guy doing one would do the other if necessary (as a fall back plan).

Anyways, I'm gonna try to do the list within the next 1-14ish hours. I haven't heard back, but it has been over 24hrs.

Dammit, I finally got some free time on my hands and I was looking to do the submissions for this week, but there sadly are none. But I've noticed you guys were talking about doing the list yourselves? Nice idea, and if you need any help I'd be happy to give you a hand. Just send a PM. I'm bored as hell anyway.

I started the list but won't be able to finish it until late tonight (GMT). I hadn't used Excel before and it was perhaps a mistake to try and learn it.

Thanks for the update, Bezman. I'm hoping to get all of the requests sorted in the next 36 hours, so that should a) keep me on the 100% club and b) Gain me access to the top 100 Audio Reviewers list.

This looks like a great little club. I don't fully understand the point system, nor do I really care about stats but I am going to look into help out people that would like to have their work reviewed in the future.

I try my best too to not get hung-up about 'stats'.

Essentially, what you should concern yourself with is the weekly list of requests. Just review whatever you have time for from that list, making sure your feedback is useful.

Well, I'm personally heading off on Sunday. I won't be doing any updates. I think it'll be safer to assume Milinko's not coming back in the near future.

Ultimately, the final decision is with whomever does the list, but it would be nice to democratise the process a bit.

Personally, I think the update should happen at the time we want it to happen each week - not letting last week's hiccup have a knock-on effect.

I'd suggest that someone who has spare time on Sunday/Monday volunteers to update the list. The list of submissions can be done by the same person or a different person.

Once an update has been done (roughly) on time, we can maybe sort out some contingency plan and try to instate some order.

Hrm... is anyone willing to volunteer to do the next update?

Though it took me over 2 hours, some of that time was spent typing up formulae in the excel calculator. I've uploaded my .txt and excel files here so it should save anyone at least 10-20 minutes..Someone who has used the program before could do it even faster. (I had never used it before.)

Frankly, if anyone still hasn't contacted the usual list maintainer after an unexplained absence of nearly a week, it doesn't bode well for how much regard they give Milinko. Seriously, if you care about him or his contributions, I'd suggest PMing if you haven't already.

Thanks for the multiple updates ^_^ noone can blame you for making a few slight errors as really none of us know exactly how to do it. I have a slight problem, the review list Nuts posted doesnt have every review requested on it i dont think so i just went ahead and reviewed everything from 4 pages back to make sure i have it all done, but now i dont know how many points ive amassed, so whoever is doing the list this week is gonna have to figure them out as i wasnt evtirely sure what to review, and also 2 of the requests have weird links, one is broken and the other seems to be deleted, so i reviewed everything in order to keep my 100%.

Sir nuts said his update was only up until the Sunday (so that folk wouldn't have too short a time to do the reviewing.)

I agree that the list could have been improved, but the fact that he did it is awesome. If you wanna update his list and correct his mistakes, that'd be appreciated.

I could do the update on Monday, as it's my day off.
I try to post the update late on monday (around 22:00 GMT+1 [or 10pm GMT+1]), if this is okay with everyone.
It's a short time to do all the requests, so maybe we can consider not updateing the total amount, even though it's a bit unfair towards the requesters as their requests don't have the same impact on this club as everyone's elses requests.

But that doesn't mean I don't respect what he has done for this club (in fact, milinko IS this club. He was the one who came up with the points system and he kept it alive for such a long time).
