I think everyone, who has replied in this thread should watch downfall if they haven't already, it strips away all the glamour form the Hitler Mythos plus it's in German and did you know it was the first German movie to be made about Hitler since 1956?

Hitler might have been a good leader but he was crazy as hell. those two combined are really dangerous. Besides, most of that prolly wasnt done by Hitler himself. And when Iread about WW2, about battles where the germans were defeated, I noticed that usually it was hitler who made serious mistakes by meddling with the generals.

I do Hitler's political history in AS, and you'r pretty much spot on. I personnaly blame the influences he was put under during the time (e.g anti jewish ways, lack of work...)

Hitler only came into power because of the state the country was in, he's hardly a genius, basically he knew how to work a crowd and an extremist. The fact that the country had a lost a war, been discgraced to the rest of the world. The current goverment were generall disliked and their political system at the time meant that there was no one main party in charge desicsion were hard to met and they needed a leader. So basically if the country hadn't been in
(A) so much debt from reperations (B) Communists trying to take over (C) A crappy goverment system in place (D) The depression taking place therefore making the average germans life that much worse, then he would have never got into power.

Not to mention hes a bastard for killing loads of innocent people.
