What WOULD make sense is if Satan and God were the same person. Suppose Satan is really God's darker side, and the battles between Satan and God were really just God just fighting his darker impulses?
>>HKE (me). Or worse yet. God has multiple personalities, which all conflict with each other. and his head is a battle royale Octagon. (hence the diffrent dieties of the world). Or God has a split personality skitzo and when Satan appears, then crazy shit happens on earth, then poof, God appears, and everything is nice. Like a Mr Jeckle and Doctor Hyde skitzo drug induced madeness. Or Life is one big, bad/good mush trip and God is imagining all of us, and currently is having a badddddddd trip (War in Afganistan Iraq, Somalia and the AIDs epidemic).
There, if that were the case, then Christianity would be so much better, because instead of it being Us (Good) vs. Them (Bad), it would be Us (good) vs. Us (Bad), or a war against our dark impulses instead of someone else. One problem I find in Islam and Christianity is that a lot of their philosophy is about making others "good", instead of making our own behaviour as saintly as possible.
>>HKE: exactly, we fight the lesser Jihad, and crusaide, and fight for God but physically, instead of battling ourselves the greater Jihad. We preach but don't practice what we preach. Ie, those televangelists, or judgmental Christians (not all christians, but the judgemental ones).
