I know about Fruity Loops. I have that but it is a bit hard to mix music with. I would like to take maybe 2 songs, and put them together to do that Song v. Song type of thing. Add sound effects here and there. It seems that Fruity Loops isn't for this kind of thing. (if it is please direct me to some sort of guide for help on this) And other than fruity loops, what is the next big program? Expecially for this type of style?

Well my friend you can do that with a variety of applications.
From Reason (with NN19 or what is it called) (add 2 of those "machines" import SAMPLE, etc etc)
to Cubase, Logic Pro, Renoise, Adobe Audition (the list can go on forever)

oh with Reason is might be a lil weird to do it (if you havenot used the app before)
because you donot see or interact with the waveform directly...
Instead you trigger it to be played as a sample using the note C3 (Do of the center octave)
So, if you wanna go to the middle of the song, you will have to listen all of it, and not just the part you want.
You 'll know what I mean when you try it ;) It doesnot really affect you in a negative way, it just might end up a little Time-Consuming
A faster way is just to look for a Demo version of Adobe Audition or any other program which lets you have a look at the Waveform.
(BUt if you want to add effects through for example Adobe Audition you will have to open the FX and copy paste it's waveform where you want to add it, (but you have to be carefull about it's Volume, not too loud not too low, so it might consume some time as well)
With Cubase or Logic Pro it's much simplier ;p a lot simplier
Good luck :)

If it's a simple task like putting two songs together, Audacity. It's free, it's simple.
