Actually...If the Icecaps melted...the oceans would rise over 200feet....

Most of our land would be covered...Fresh water will become more scarce and same with flat land to grow crops on...
this may even lead to famines and the harsh climate could also kill us...since we don't have much electricity (Most of your power plants are built on lowlands which would be flooded) we might get kelled in a very cold winter or a very hot summer!!!!

Global warming will lead to warmer summers and colder winters (The temperatures will intrease the amount of evaporation over larger bodies of water and will increase cloud cover while decreasing temperature)...
we will live on an earth too unfamiliar to our old one and we may eventually become extinct from this....

Soooo sorry to have offended your sense of what a BBS post is supposed to be. It's true, plenty of people have just come on to say "I will destroy you all," but I reserved my rants for the realm of pop-culture, which is, in a sense, depicting humanity's own slow, downward spiral into oblivious anarchy.

I like the fact the title asks how long it will be till the world ends and people keep replying with ideas for HOW the world will end and not WHEN the world will end.
Ah well, here is another idea of mine:-
a child is born with incredibally strong telekenetic type powers and builds up this energy, eventually releasing it with such a powerful force that the world explodes. A bit far-fetched but you never know. *makes a pencil float in the air* hehehe.
Another idea:-
Too many people are born that there is no longer enough room, nor enough food and water and so those stupid rules in China where you can only have one child and they have to be male are put worldwide till eventually it is only men left, not only will this stop the ability to reproduce as humans but for the hetrosexual men they won't have anything to shag(except perhaps sheep)and so turn into masterbating psychopaths who have to get their thrill out of destroying plants and killing the rest of earth's creatures and fighting over porn magazines that are hundreds of years old because no other women are around to get photographed naked.

Sorry dude, evolution doesn't just magically happen. Evolution occurs because certain characteristics of different lifeforms allow them to live longer and reproduce, its not like we are around for a long period of time and just all of a sudden improve. It happens because the faster animal doesn't get eaten, therefore lives to reproduce, the smarter animal knows to hide when a predator is around, and lives longer than the stupid one.

I thought that theory was incorrect, I have heard from discovery (again) that it will continue to expand even faster. But that's all I know, I don't have anything to back that up.

It's been proved by looking at supernovae in distant galaxies that the universe's expansion is speeding up. I THINK it's done by looking at the red-shift or whatever it's called.
