The Mayan astrologers hold that this cycle of human history will end in 2012. This does not mean that the world will "end" in a literal sense. It means that we will be embarking on something that may be really exciting for the entire species.

The next step in our evolution, interesting. Perhaps we will unlock the full capability of our minds. Or transcend from our physical form to a form made out of pure energy.

Well I posted this a while back, I was woken by really loud thunder'n'lightning, it was if they had dropped the bomb a couple of hundred miles away.

Anyway, I think nobody has yet considered the super race of evil super villans. Has anybody ever read the first few comics of The Authority? Like mutant humans with super human powers the ability to fly, and destroy entire cities in half an hour.

Very random and minute compared to the more realistic senarios, but still.

Considering their calendar to this day is off by only 33 seconds (we have to have a leap year every 4) there may be some credibility to this. How the end will happen they don't say.

Why would aliens want to attack us? Probably because their planet has been fucked up by them and they need a new one. So in that case we wouldn't have to fly to their planet to steal it. They'd probably die on their own if their planet is a real mess, and we wouldn't have much use for it.
Then again, it would be a great place for toxic/nuclear waste and other garbage.

When A.I. is invented by some alloustrious scientist, the U.S. will use the program to command our millitary. Then, after around 5 to 10 years, the program shall find us useles and obsolete. It shall then eraticate us all. So in the words of the great Vash the Stampede, "SSSHHHIIITTTT!!! WERE ALL DOOMED!!!!!"
