Anyway, it's more likely Dubyuh will launch the wrong missile, and blows up Kazakhstan, and the entire Middle East promptly show his exactly what a "Weapon of Mass Destruction" is.

More likely an asteroid will hit us, or the world simultaniously feels the effect of their Big Macs as their stomachs explode, while their heart, lungs and liver dissolve and run down their noses like some Satanic haggis.

Isn't there a theory or prediction that a meteorite will strike the earth in bout 15 years, but im not sure if that would be the destruction of earth or the end of humanity.

yeah thats a theory out there but i think it's further in the future than 15 years no matter where it would strike there would be mass destruction i think more details are in a previous post in this topic

If that's the same one I heard about then I should say no. It wouldn't hit us, it would come close or something but it wouldn't hit us. I can't remember the details anymore, saw it on discovery once and one time in our newspaper but I've forgotten most of it.

BTW, Mulder_xuk, I now have that Nostradamus book and so far it doesn't make any sense to me. All these weird textes, it's also impossible for me to find out what belongs in which time.

America will strike first, they're the attacking army. I heard on my school about firing cruise missiles at Bagdad. For the rest, if Saddam indeed has biological weapons, he'd probably use them. He also might try to burn the oil in Kuweit again.

There will be many casualties, that's why I am against the war.
Also, if Saddam doesn't use biological weapons, wouldn't that mean the he doesn't have them? Then this war would be useless, if Saddam does have these, he will use them. And many American soldiers will die.

i'm sure that some chemical weapons can be realised into the atmospher and go around the globe imagine the number of deaths caused if that happened i am willing to bet it would be in the millions and who really knows what iraq has? for all we know he's got missiles with a huge range able to hit countrys in europe for all we know

I don't think Europe will be a target, Saddam's main enemy is America. If he attacks a country, it would be America. Saddam won't be able to hold his country, I don't think his military can stand against the American troops.

Not all will die, many countries have nothing to do with this war. This war is mainly between America (with a few allies) and Iraq. Saddam's main target would be America and maybe their allies. But not countries that don't have anything to do with it. It's not like all kinds of countries will suddenly jump in.

America will win this war. The American troops can take the Iraqi troops. Problems is the biological weapons, many US soldiers will indeed die. But America will win. And using biological weapons on own soil won't go without a price, Saddam might will damage his own cities and kill some of his own people.

And should it happen that the American troops are indeed beaten back, then America has nukes. Iraq does not, or at least not as much as America. Iraq would be decimated in case of use of nukes.

In the least bad scenario, it turns out that Saddam doesn't have biological weapons to use and the bloodshed will be less. In the worst case, nukes will be used. Iraq will be destroyed and America will have to pay a great price.

Looks like there's some room for a little bet. But how can you be sure? One is just a calendar, the other might just be some mad woman making absurd claims. But we'll see.

Nobody's attacking anybody. After all, wasn't the deadline originally January 27th before the US laid their vengeance on Saddam's door if they didn't allow in the Weapons Inspectors? They did, crisis over. Then last month it was suddenly their agenda to get them to disarm, with the deadline as today. By Saturday, 68 of 120 al-Samoud missiles were destroyed (believe it or not, you can't just put them in the trash and that's it done, it takes time), so the next line will probably be along the lines of "Do it faster" or something.

Saddam isn't stupid, he won't launch an offensive on the US, because he knows he won't win, and he has everything to lose - al-Qu'eda had nothing to lose (neither did Afghanistan) when they attacked, there is a big difference. In other words, you will all wake up tommorrow morning, and there will be no war raging in the Middle East. Even Bush won't be as stupid to go against the UN, with only Britain (OK, Blair and that's about it), Spain and Portugal backing him.

I still pity whoever it is that succeeds him; he'll have so much shit to clear up that he won't have time to do anything else during his term.
