between the intro and the video, i really don't want to put anything inbetween the two, though something about the transition between the two (without the text) doesn't seem to flow right to me.

this is an older version that doesn't have text inbetween the intro and the video. tell me what you think of the music transition from one piece to the other. if you guys are perfectly fine with it, then super... its easy to remove the text. :)
p.s.
it could have been that i read your post Meebs, but when i watched your piece British Moose, i didn't have any problems understanding the actions.
p.p.s.
if we use all 10 author/co-authors, then that'll leave 2 participants out. i totally indifferent to what is decided.

That's good to know. I slowed down the beginning a bit before I sent it to Ekublai just to make sure everyone would be able to follow it.
Personally, I liked the Dictionary part - it gave some context to the noir-rabbit scene. If you get rid of the dictionary, you should get rid of the random scene too.
Never forget...

No prob.
Funguy I like the dictionary part. The only thing is that some people (gazes within the soul of the portal itself with disgust) will complain "It was too fast I didn't get to read it all" Maybe either slow it down or make a button for all the slow readers.
unless someone knows about working with v-cams inside movieclips and about makingthem not fill the whole stage. Then I'll have to do something about that.
funguy, yeah that was what I was thinking about when i was contemplating 5 authors or 10 authors.
Let's go with 5 then.
And yeah the dictionary part I think is fine.
And transition isn't too bad, try fading to white at the end of butters thing.
Also I believe when I was watching the master, there was a brief white pause.
Do you know what is going to go there?
i can slow down the dictionary part if necessary. i had put the "important explaining" text in white, while the rest (the unnecessary descriptions) in light grey. just to lure the eyes of the readers.
oh, and i figured out exactly how i'm going to do the credits and finish the video. i'll have that done easily tonight.
Bio's:
what i have already created in the menu system is a screen where each author's name appears. your name will click to your best newgrounds submission (or your favorite), and your bio pic will click to your personnal website (if applicable). i never read bio's personnaly, but if you guys really want to include a blurb.... thats fine with me :)

that was my mistake with the last rush of submissions. i had miss counted the amount of time. there is about 35 frames there that i have to fill. i've been talking with Jools to get a "continuation" from his piece.... or i'll do up a quick fbf's 1.5 seconds worth. something like that.
but yes, that white space is being dealt with.... stupid math skills.
haha no problem.
if you want you can take out the second ipod part, and combine the two white parts (only if possible) and I could animate a new part in the remaining frames.
Also, I'm really deliberating thehappysheep's part.
The quality is very low, especially for like the second thing you see.
The happy sheep, you're cool and everything...but the part is really generic and messy.
thats actually one of my favorite pieces. the style is messy yet the animation is smooth and the idea is brilliant and fun.
Whoops!
Sorry I was thinking of his part with the guns.
His first part is sweet.
I mean the part later in the animation
The part with the handguns is the one I was talking about that is messy.
hey Meebs and MadandUgly, do you remember the creator of the music for the menu and intro?
Yeah the menu is
Glory
from the musical pippin.
Sung by Ben Vereen.
oh and check your pm's meebs, thanks for the music credit.
Bad news guys I have no way of making it so the vcam doesn't fill the whole stage
Was this for my vcam in britishmoose's part suggestion?
If so, then it's fine I think it was just me who couldn't get it.
We have two options at this point for the preloader
We either
have all the minitoons take up the entire stage when played, but sacrific the viewer's ability to see the preloader bar.
or have just British moose's toon take up the screen and sacrifice uniformity. It's your choice meebs
I'm not understanding the problem with british moose's part...
Well you know how the v-cam is made so that anything inside of it fits the entire stage. well The other cartoons don't fit the entire stage just a portion. This means that British Moose's part, being under the control of the v-cam, will not follow any commands I give it in term of position, size, alpha etc...
I contemplated rescaling it manually but the part is just to complicated with too many keyframes.
Have you tried seeing what it looks like without the v-cam?
Also, I'm still not entirely sure of the problem, but if you can't seem to get the v-cam AND the part to rescale , try going to the onion skin button that's like...darker.
Or something...theres an onion skin button that lets you edit all frames...I forget though.
its late and im sick, but i did have another part completed is you're getting rid of someones submission. if i misread, its cuz i haven't slept in a few days...
that piece doesn't look overly small me, though i use a 19 inch monitor.
now i worked on the credit piece and besides a button to return you to the menu, besides updating the credit info at the very end, i'm done of it. now i have the menu to do... and thats it
there is no preloader, so don't maximize the file or it'll most likely run slowly
K here's what I mean
See how gun is taking up all the stage while the others are like miniclips with black around them. With the v-cam in Brit's part it'll stay that way. Without the v-cam nothings directs the camera movement and the part falls apart. My suggestion is to let it go as is.
Well, my friends if there is no longer any need for my services then by all means I shall send the preloader post-haste.
I shall send buddy requests to both of you as I don't know who's submitting.
If there's anything else.... Whatever you know I'll keep checking in until it's submitted.
wait ekublai, cant you just put his part in a movieclip and make it smaller?
Oh right...v-cam
Well it doesnt look to weird as it is.
Funguy, that was a sweet ending!.
I would just add some sound effects to the bunny when he hits the ground and the knives hit him.
do you want my A ver or B ver (pg30)
sorry forgot to check my inbox. =)
Great ending, funguy :)
Sorry for all the problems I've caused with my toon...but I would appreciate it if you could put my name in the corner or something, 'causeit's not mentioned that I 'helped' with the preloader in the credits ^^
