Logged in as -1

Someone help me here :D Im logged in as -1 and cant change any settings or do anything at all. I can like login for half a second (enough to post this thread and submit content e.t.c) but anything else is locked.

Some help please :)

First things first. Make sure your computer's clock is set to the correct day and time, and fix it if it isn't. Next, make sure your browser is allowing cookies from NG. Failing that, close your browser, clean your cache, and start up a new browser.

Like he said, he's logged in as -1. liljim has addressed this a bunch of times and most of the reason it happens is that the computer clock is waaaaay out of synch with NG. He's logged into his account, but because of the discrepancy in the cookie it lists his ID as -1 on his browser and not as CorkySurprise

Locked ... as in bother to read and understand before firing off a post. "cant change any settings or do anything at all" That looks pretty self-explanatory to me. He's locked out of being able to do most things because his ID lists as -1

I don't know what -1 is.

And, yes, the clock is accurate. Its synchronized with windows.time.com or something like that.

Next, make sure your browser is allowing cookies from NG

I'm pretty sure it is, my settings say 'Allow sites to set cookies', so i guess it is.

Failing that, close your browser, clean your cache, and start up a new browser.

Its been going for weeks. I've cleared the history, cleared the cache, restarted in 2 other browers and nothing works.

Unsynch it. I twiddled with that crap for a week and had nothing but problems as a result. Every week or so I kick my clock back 2 minutes manually.
