Its not like all the hispanic people were out there, or it was meant specificly for hispanics. The protest was by immigrants, both illegal and legal, over the issue of illegal immigration in the US. They just happen to be hispanic.

Mexicans are Mestizos (mixed)... having both Spanish and Native American blood-- and there is a very small mullato population.

1.The country of mexico is the remnants of the mexican empire. Its made up of many groups and tribes over a wide geographic area. One of those tribes could be considered a race, but not all of the people in the country.

2.Like said, the spanish interbreed with the natives.

3.Mexico, like all other countries, allows for citizenship.

What about all the legal non white citizens and residents? Can they join in too? Why are only whites mentioned?
This whole idea makes no sense anyway. Shutting down the country by having the majority of people (I'm including all legal residents) not show up for work wouldn't prove much. The point of their protest was to attempt to show what they contribute to society. What exactly was the topic starter trying to prove?
