Black people today always call on the racist card anyways. They think they had it rough because of slavery and they were forced outta their country. Well most black people today have never ever been a slave, and if not for the europenas bringing em to america then they'd all be dying of aids in africa right now anyways so in hind sight our ancestors did em a favour and not us a favour. But I'm in Canada so we have to tolerate everything and anything that moves and/or breathes.

You should've just said African-American is an incorrect term because not all black people are from Africa.

If a person's black, like African or whatever, I just say black. Everyone knows what you mean when you say black or white. In England we have the same situation with Indian, Asian, Pakistani, etc people. When we say "Asian" we generally mean someone from one of the places I just mentioned (i.e. a person with brown skin), but Americans generally use the term "Asian" to refer to Chinese, Japanese, etc people, so we're not always sure what others are talking about in this case.

The lack of cultural diversity on this site is astounding.

Black/African-American is fine as long as you don't called me Colored or N*****.

Black people shouldn't be called African-American unless they immigrate from Africa. Otherwise, you're an American person, being born and raised in America. African-American implies that you were born in Africa and emigrated to America.

The big point is we shouldn't have to say "the black guy did this" or "the white guy did this" or even use colors in order to explain something. We should say "This guy did this" since we are all people. There lies the problem between races. We have to constantly label each other. I still use black people though. Hell most the black people I know don't want to be called black. Hell African-American in itself is derogatory when you think about it. What if the person is from Jamaica? Or the Middle East? Or from Australia?
